Here are some scenes from other Western states. The first 3 pictures are of Monument Valley located in northeastern Arizona. Where is John Wayne when you need him?

The following picture is of "kissing rock" located somewhere in the same general location as monument valley.

Near Page, Arizona, is Lake Powell, part of which is pictured in this next scene.

In the northeastern part of Utah and the northwestern region of Colorado, is Dinosaur National Monument. These next three pictures depict the rugged cliffs and canyon land which make up this National Monument.

We'll leave the dinosaurs and go somewhere we are not sure of. This snow capped mountain is in Yellowstone National Park...we think. We don't recall taking the picture and are speculating based upon the signage at this parking lot.

We do know the next 4 pictures are from Yellowstone. The first is a picture of an elk foraging near the North park entrance. Then there are 2 pictures of the Yellowstone River. The last one is showing a steam vent on the shore of an ice cold Yellowstone Lake.

This is a picture taken in Walnut Canyon National Monument just outside of Flagstaff, AZ. Excuse the poor quality but if you look closely, you may see individuals on the canyon path in the right-center of the picture.

The picture below shows a huge open pit mine in southwestern New Mexico near Silver City. This is the Chino Copper mine and is the oldest active mine in the southwest.
