Here's a random collection of scenes from the Northwest part of the country, including Victoria BC.

The first picture is of an unknown lake somewhere in coulee area of Washington.

The picture below is a scene in an area of renewal in the city of Toppenish, WA. Several buildings in the area of this square have been refurbished and have large murals painted on their facade.

This is a rare picture of a clear view of Mt Rainier as it often hidden by clouds. We had just crossed the Columbia River from Oregon.

The next four pictures are of waterfalls found in Mt Rainier National Park.

Flowing from one of these falls is the stream pictured below. Note the very narrow and deep gorge.

This is a picture of part of the busy and famous Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle.

The following pictures are of Port Angeles, WA. This is the birthplace of none other than John Elway. Port Angeles is on the northern tip of the Olympia peninsula. A car ferry operates to and from Victoria, BC. The ferry can be seen leaving the pier headed for Victoria in the first picture.

The next 8 pictures were taken in Victoria. BC. The first picture shows the ferry arriving in the inner harbor.

The following picture shows some of the boats in the harbor.

From our hotel room, we could look down on the 2nd floor roof-top bar and volley ball court. Fortunately, they only played volley ball during the daylight hours.

The following picture was taken from our room and shows some of the skyline of the city. The snow capped mountains in the backgroud are in Olympic National Park, Washington...about 35 to 40 miles across the Juan de Luca Straights.

The next picture is that of the Parliment Building on the shore of the inner harbor.

Nearby on the inner harbor as well, is the luxury hotel, "Empress". Much too rich for us. We were thinking of having tea in the Tea Room but ties were required. A beautiful building as was the Parliment.

Driving around in our car, we came across this mansion. We never did find out what is was. I would like it as a summer home though!

On our drive we saw many well kept residential areas like the one shown below.
