An old cement mixer on display in the roadside museum.

We discovered some work of local "artists" in town also.

I'm only guessing that these cars still operate.

There were a few more in this lot but I suppose three is enough!

A view of the Colorado River and its canyon about 20 miles below Hoover Dam.

After about 2 weeks away from home, we returned to see our crabapple tree in full bloom.

After 4 days at home, I departed for Wisconsin to attend my mother's 90th birthday party and to bring her back to Denver for a visit. I enlisted my son to help me drive the two day trip. We drove through rain all day on the second day of the drive. The most difficult part of driving in rain is the loss of vision caused by splash-back from large trucks. For those who have driven I-80, you can appreciate the number of trucks encountered.

Our first night was spent in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This is the location of several casinos on the Missouri river; one of which is shown here.

While in Plymouth WI, we took a trip to Sheboygan to see Lake Michigan...on a very windy day.

This picture from the jetty better illustrates how the wind was blowing.

One of several nice homes located near the shoreline.

Part of the marina. Don't imagine there was much activity today.

A unique building near the shore housing a tavern.

The return trip to Denver was in much better weather. This is a view of the Mississippi river near Davenport, IA.

We got a kick out of this sign.

We noticed this old church along I-80 in Nebraska on the first day of the trip but it was beginning to rain so we made note of its location at the Milford exit and took this picture on the return trip.

We'll leave you with this sunset over the Missouri river.
