Scenarios:
- Capture the flag - This game is played at just about every field in existence, and is probably the most popular of paintball games. In this game, each team has a flag posted at their flag station. The opposing team tries to get their flag and take it back to their own flag station. The first team to do this wins. It is a lot more fun if you make a rule about guarding the flag.
- Gettysburg - In this game there are two teams and it is played the same as capture the flag. However, no hoppers are allowed and every shot you take, you have to manually feed the paintball into the gun by dropping it into the feed port. This game is good if you are on a budget and don't want firepower to be a major decisive factor in who wins the game.
- War - This one sort of describes itself. In this game, each person is on their own, or you can be on teams, and trust me, the more people the better. The goal is to eliminate all the other players or the other team and be the last one alive. Obviously, if you or your team are the last one alive, you win.
- Smear The Queer - In this game, one person has a gun, and everone else is unarmed. The person with the gun stays in one place during the whole game, while the other players run around trying to stay alive. The last person left in the game is the winner. This one is not one of my favorites but a lot of people I know like it.
- Classic Elimination: Just so we all know where we're coming from, here's the basics of Classic. Split all players up fairly evenly (taking into account skill level, marker, experience, etc) into two teams and kill everyone on the opposite team.
- Every Man for Himself: No teams or alliances allowed. Set good boundaries; the last person alive wins.
- Take the Gorge: This game requires a gorge, river, ravine, or similar terrain in the area. Set tight boundaries on the ends of the gorge, set one team up on each side, and have at it!
- President: Split the teams up, slightly favoring the team protecting the President over the team sniping. Designate a landmark, which the President must reach in order to win. If the snipers kill the President, they win. If the protectors kill all the snipers or get the President to reach the landmark, they win. The president should be unarmed or lightly armed (slingshot, Talon, etc), but must of course wear a face mask, and may take the gun of any protectors who die.
- Alamo: Set up teams with about a 3:2 ratio. Have the team with less members select a highly defensible area (small building, small fort, boulder-bound area, grove) and have them yell when they are done setting up. The offensive team must then move toward the defenders' position until fired upon. The defending team is not allowed to surrender.
- Bridge Demolition: Designate a bridge, road, river, or other landmark to be the
- Hostage Rescue: Designate one person as a hostage. One team tries to rescue the hostage, while the other team tries to prevent the rescue. This game is especially good if you have a building or building-like terrain for the hostage to reside in. If the hostage attempts to escape, only then may s/he be shot by the hostage-takers. The hostage is, of course, unarmed but masked. Game ends if the hostage is shot, or if the rescuers get the hostage to a pre-designated spot.
- Rambo: One person (hopefully a fast runner) takes off running, attempting to reach a pre-designated area while everyone follows and attempts to kill Rambo before s/he reaches the landmark.
- Quick and Dirty: Have a referee set a time limit of 10 or 20 minutes. Give each team a starting position about 20 yards apart, and set boundaries. They must move towards the opposing team until engaged. Whoever has the most people left at the end of the time limit wins.
- Minesweeper: One team scatters themselves, hidden, in a certain well-bounded thickly foliaged area. The other team must find and kill all of them within a certain time limit. The hiders are not allowed to move once hidden. If at least one survives beyond the time limit, the hiders win.
