Lord Immp
+++Hey Nids and Plague Stuff, GREAT+++
+++Lord Immp's groovy conversion corner+++
![]() Ok, now when I said a few months back that conversions don't always have to be excessive or even REALLY hard to do to look astonishing and mind blowing. Lord Immp has proven me right. Now I don't have my own Zoanthrope nor have I assembled one, so I cannot be totally sure, but I think all he did was bend the neck! It now looks like some sort of flying evil eel of carapaced DEATH. This is like 10X scarier than it is all floaty, I mean, floaty is cool and all and it looks quite mystic, but this captures the FEEL of the tyranid and looks mystic at the same time. SIMPLY AMAZING. ![]() I don't want to come across as an old fart...Not at all, but this is how a TYRANID should be. 100% hand to hand nightmare. This scares me. If this got to close to a unit I would panic and rightfully so! I have to say that I like the weapon choice as it is MY weapon choice. Also...looka da cute lidow gene stealer baby, isn't he cute....yes he is...yes he is. Ok before I make anyone sick lets go on to the next model(awesome find there Lord Immp btw, genecult familiars are a rare find!) ![]() The Red Terror, the embodyment of Tyranid-ness. A BIG SCARY MONSTER that wants to eat you. I love the idea behind it, I love the model and Hey to give some credit to Lord Immp, I love the paint job. I must bring this up though and it is simple observation and by NO MEANS and insult. Orange, Yellow, White. These are the colours of candy corn. THey blend well enough on the model and look good though. Just don't play against me when I am hungry or that tyrant is gona get it. ![]() Some nice Tyranid eggs made with some foam and stuff. Lord Immp has ALOT of alien terrain! ![]() These are all cut down to size but trust me these are BIG. I have a few examples of size later on. For now, just marvel at the ingenuity and creativity...same thing aren't they...oh well. ![]() Now you are starting to think, hey this stuff only matches Immp's colour scheme, I can't reporduce this. NOT so, his stuff is a good example of technique. You don't have to paint it purple(one of his nid colours) you could match your own table colours but the assembly and the shape. That is where the quality comes into play. Think of this puppy painted up in grean with a blue water surface. Neat ideas here and it can be changed to any army or table. And now...back to our show.(the other galleries silly) |
