Conversation with The JW’S

This past Saturday, I got into a conversation with a Jehovah Witness. And I want to share with you, some of the stuff I said to him. The main thing you wanna show is that you disagree with them on who Jesus is. They are notorious in trying to talk over you and getting off the subject. I was respectful and had a respectful conversation. However I kept emphasizing that Jesus is God. Let me show you how I did that.

JW: Jesus Christ is a God; not God.

Me: Jesus Christ is God.

JW: No, Jesus said that the Father is greater then I. And he could of his ownself do nothing.

Me: That’s true but you gotta know why he said that. Phillipians 2 says that he thought it not robbery to be equal with God and humbled himself. Jesus was equal with God. Look at your son and yourself. (He had his little boy as his partner). Now in a sense you’re greater then your son. You have authority over him. But as PEOPLE you’re equal. You’re not greater then your son as a person right??

JW’s son (about 11 years old)- Uh, huh. (Hopefully a seed was planted in the little boy’s mind that God will use.)

JW- But look at Corithians. The head of the woman is the man. The head of Christ is God. See God has no head.

JW- Once again that does not mean that Jesus is not God. Look at what you just read. The head of woman is a man. Does that mean that woman is a less of a person then a man?? Same thing with Christ and God.

JW- Yes, Jesus is God. But he’s a mighty God. God is the almighty.

Well, after that he had me because I couldn’t remember where the scripture was to show where Jehovah was called mighty God in the old Testament. Oh well. But before that I would have got my tail kicked by Jehovah Witness but I’m learning. Hopefully, you learn from this as well. Feel free to copy this if it will help.
