`         METHOD MAN
l.  Jesus was a the original "method man" because he mad different styles in kickin the Gospel.  He didn't talk to the Samaritan woman like he did Nicodemus.  He had a whole different "method" but the same message.   So we gotta become method men and woman when we deliver His message.  When we're talking to our boys/girls, parents, neighbors, children we gotta develop styles to deliver the "message" so it's relevant to them.  (Remember:  The methods are not holy but the message is.)  And that's what this web site is going to teach you to do over the coming weeks.  But there are road blocks.  Here are the common ones.

1) I wanna talk to my boys but my past is shady.  I might seem like a hypocrite.
We all did dirt in our past. But don't let that stop you.  Use that to your advantage.  "Tell them:  I use to  ___________ but that how awesome God is.  He changed me.  And he can do the same for you."

2) I don't have the gift of evangelism.  So I'll just try to be a light.
 A) Read Matthew 28.:18-20.  Jesus commissioned the disciples to make disciples.  So first of all you are a disciple.  And God commissioned you to make other disciples.  So it has nothing to do with the gift of evangelism.  As far being a light that's good.  But being good and living right will not necessarily make someone want to be a Christian.  Moralist and Muslims "appear" to live "godly" also.  But they don't have Jesus.  So what will make the difference is you delivering the message of the Gospel.

3) God just called me to be a witness.
Look up the word witness.  It means to testify.  Jesus tells us in Acts 2 that we will be His witnesses but what did they testify about?  His death, burial and resurrection.  It all goes back to the Gospel.  You should incorporate your testimony on what he has done for you.  But how will they know how to get that same life you're witnessing about if you don't give them the directions to God? Also the word witness means martyr.  Think about that the next time  you're out witnessing,

4) I don't really have a passion to give the gospel.
That's probably because you're selfish.  It's all about your life.  Start reading scriptures about the Lake of Fire.  Think about how people will never have the chance to know God. Never. There ain't no time period in eternity.  As a fminister riend of mine says "You're God's A Plan."  You were saved to somebody elso to Christ.  Otherwise you would be in heaven right now.

5) I scared people might reject me.
I have talked many people since I became born again in '95 and rarely are people rude.  People want to talk about religion. If you don't believe me just look at culture (movies,TV, Hip Hop).  Many artists today  mention "God" in their records; even the hardest of thugs.  It's a myth that  people will bite your head off if you talk them about God.  Will some reject the Gospel?  Of course.  But your job is to give the Word and ask  them to make a decision for Christ.  If they say no, they're rejecting Jesus; NOT YOU.  Don't take it personal like it's your fault..

6) I'm scared they might have questions I can't answer.
If they do simply tell them:  I don't know.  Once you start making up answers without the Spirit leading, you're in trouble.  Because it'll get into "I feel that..." and then they'll say "Well, I feel." It'll nothing wrong with debating but make sure it has a point.   But the best thing is to  admit that you don't know.  You'll get more respect that way.  Then go and research the answer to the question.
When I first started out I didn't know too much about the Word.  But when people started asking me questions, that spark my curiousity to find the answer so I could be ready.   And I became stronger and stronger with the Word.   And it's going to happen the same way with you.

Well, I hope this  clear some stuff up.  Over the coming weeks I will give you first hand experience on how to witness to parents, your boys, children whoever .  So if you got ?'s just write me.  Check for updates soon.
