THE TAKEOVER

“… That’s one hot album every 10 year average…” Jay Z The Blueprint

Some of you who listen to secular radio have heard Jay Z song “The Takeover”.   Jay Z basically tears apart Mobb Deep’s Prodigy and QB’s finest Nas battle rap style.  In recent months we have seen a takeover in a spiritual sense.  September 11 messed up our whole.   17 men changed the lives of millions.  The way we do things, the way we operate, the way we think.  Satan has done a hijacking on us.

The hijackers basically sent a message to our country “You’re not in control.  All that security.  All that thinking you’re a great nation means nothing.  We can strike at any time.”   The people on the 1st two planes probably felt helpless.  They had to follow the instructions of these evil men or die.  They had no power.

But the passengers on the third plane acted quite different.  They heard about the 1st two crashes.  The men took leadership and then took on the enemy.  Took on people who did the takeover.  The guy who led this rebellion started off with prayer.  The “Our Father prayer”.  He depended on God.  Next he must have had some type of plan because  he told his wife that he and the hijackers was gonna bumb rush the hijackers.  Now we don’t know what happened next, but we think it was a struggle between the hijackers and the men.  Then the plane crashed.

In spiritual warfare we can use the same principal.  It starts off with looking to Lord to guide us.  Recognizing that we have enemy that is trying to takeover.  An enemy that talks tough but what’s in his hand??  A boxcutter.  We have a God that has given us his Word.  A word that is MIGHTY SWORD.  The men realize that they had to get into close contact to wrestle the enemy.  Their had to be a struggle.  They had to be willing to be hurt.  To be cut.  They had to be willing to die to save the life of others.

What has the church done sense September 11th??  You would think they would break in great revival.  Preaching the Gospel.  But I haven’t seen it.  It just seems like the only thing we’re doing is praying.  Which is central to all actions.  But I haven’t seen much standing up to the enemy.  This world is feeling hopeless.  We need to show the world that we’re not scared.  We’re not sitting their waiting to die while they take our plane of course in a sense.  We can’t become depressed as they are.  Are actions must be different.  We can’t just sit thier while Satan takes over without a fight.  Even if it does mean that we lose of lives.
