Caleb had led a full & active life before he became a disciple for Jesus. He was 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed everywhere from Korea to Canada. He had been married 3 times and sired children by each wife. He had taken part in the Broadway play "Hair" as it toured Scandinavia and he was working in England as a jet-setting disc-jockey when he met Rose. They fell in love, in spite of a 20-year age difference and soon he dropped out to go with her to pioneer western Greece.
They gave witness mainly in Mauritius, Nepal, Dominican Republic, U.K, USA and Spain where they were involved in the tragic Barcelona bust in 1990, having their 5 youngest children taken away from them for a year.
Caleb suffered for decades from hepatitis C which gradually developed into cirrhosis & then cancer. This was the instrument God used to end his earthly sojourn at age 66, but he was still going strong right up until the end. For example, he has a son who is younger than one of his great-grandchildren!
I only lived with him a few months, & that during busy house-hunting times, so I did not know him very well. But he had a strong heritage of faith from his Baptist mother, & it showed, as his love for Jesus motivated his every thought. Towards the end he could not put in long hours any more, yet almost to his last days kept right on litnessing, his favourite activity.
Here are some excerpts of prophecies received for him from the CRO & Mama’s Home around the time of his graduation:
"My precious son, Caleb, how I love you. You are very dear to Me & I watch over you. Your many years of faithfulness & remaining true & faithful to Me & My Family will reap for you eternal dividends & greater rewards than you could ever imagine.
Have faith & know that I love you more than human words can express. It will be worth it all when we are all joined together in Heaven…I have chosen you – you were hand-picked by God Himself - & the people you are helping & ministering to will be eternally indebted to you for having shown them the way, the truth & the life….
This one, My beloved one, has fought a good fight of faith. Behold, there is laid up for him a Crown of Life for his faithfulness, for his love for Me & My sheep. I will greatly reward him for his faithfulness – for his faithfulness in doing the little things, for his faithfulness in being a faithful witness of Me to whatever sheep I send in his path.
Behold I have great love for this one, & he is close to My heart. And I am calling him Home to be in My bosom, to be rewarded & honoured for that he has done on earth. This is not a sad occasion, this is a glorious occasion; this is his coronation day; this is when he will receive the reward; this is when he will be comforted & when he will be appreciated; this is the day when all his sacrifices that he has done through life will be rewarded; this is the day when I will receive him & embrace him & hold him & show him how much I love him, how precious he is to Me, how precious his love is to Me.
Hear the angels calling him, calling him Home on the other side – his true Home, his real Home – where he will be completely free at last; free from the burden of the flesh; free from sin, free from discouragement; free from the difficulties of life on earth; where he will be truly free at last; where he & I can love each other fully, & where he can enjoy the beauties of the Heavens fully. So rejoice!”
