  In 1963, The Warrior Times (Originally called The Warrior)
was given publishing rights by Quill and Scroll (International Honorary Society for High School Journalists).
That year marked the beginning of The Warrior Times ongoing service
to Central High School and the surrounding community. The Warrior Times has established a
commitment to excellence and leadership in the coverage of News, Feature, and Sports that continues today. The Warrior Times is ran primarily by a student staff, who work on a non-paid basis.
The Warrior Times and other Central High School publications offices
are located in Central High School at 3130 E1/2 Rd. in Grand Junction, a small city on the western edge of the state of Colorado. The Warrior Times and other Central High School publications are advised and dirrected by Dana Michels.
The Warrior Times is affiliated with (CHSPA) The Colorado High School Press Association and (NSPA) National Scholastic Press Association.
