 Rising from the aftermath of a rough and tumble 1997 beginning, COLD MOON shines with its present day four-man line-up. You will find Chris Moon, the creator of the band,on rhythm/lead guitar and lead vocals. After searching for a while, Chris settled in with Victor Gregory for lead/rhythm guitar and backup vocals. The remaining components of the band soon fell into place. Scott Fisher’s back-up vocals and bass added the resonance Moon and Gregory were seeking. James Rodrock’s aggressive, double bass attack on the drums provided new depth to the Cold Moon sound. “I kind of turned off my ear in ’91 or ’92. I despise alternative.” [Christopher Moon, from an interview with Throat Culture magazine] Our mission is to write metal-based “music” not songs that have one melodic beat. Our music contains melodies, leads, rhythem’s laden with modern day drumbeats, vocals, heavy bass and guitar work. With all the members in place the band consistently puts out hard driving metal tunes reminiscent of the great metal bands like IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, OZZY and TESTAMENT. “I feel that Cold Moon is one of the most talented bands in the Denver market, today. The musicianship is tight, the music composition is sound and shows the band is very experienced.” [Ron Cook owner & operator T&R’S Club] To date, the band has recorded a seven-song album (available on cassette) and is nearing completion of a twelve-song album (to be released on CD). Participating in a Cold Moon show has left more than one person wondering. “Why haven’t I ever heard of these guy’s?” If you cannot make it to an up-coming show, don’t’ worry.
