~Because of You~
Dedicated to a very dear friend.
I conquered my problems,
I laughed at my fears,
I silenced my worries,
I dried all my tears.
I believed in myself,
I saw the beauty in me,
I finally saw life,
The way it's suppose to be.
I renewed my confidence,
I enriched my faith,
I found my courage,
I discovered my strength.
I rose above hurt,
I blew off my strife,
Just because a friend like you,
Came into my life.
~An Ode to Friends~
I love you all!
Truthfully, life is full of pain,
Sometimes you lose more than you gain,
Sometimes it's not what we deserve,
Sometimes, on the road, we miss the curve.
Things happen we despise and hate,
But, everything's just part of fate.
We cry and scream and just ask 'Why?'
I want to feel happy before I die.
What did I do to deserve this life?
Why must I live through this strife?
We blame ourselves for pain mistook,
Want to shut it off like we close a book.
We look at others and feel so discluded,
But everyone has to be somewhere included.
Staring out the window is a daily routine,
But, life is not always the way it is seen.
When times get hard and life gets tough,
Those who pull through are not always tough.
Instead, those who succeed are those who are strong,
Those who have friends, those who belong.
So, in honor of everyone who is someone's friend,
May you have support around every bend.
May you always recieve what you give away,
And live the most of every day!
~The Wonderer~
As the Shepard walked along the path,
He noticed he had lost a sheep,
It must have wondered from the herd,
While the Shepard was asleep.
He could not risk looking for it,
He would have to move on.
All the rest of the sheep were safe,
Just that one had gone.
That one little sheep that lost it's way,
Would never see his family again.
Never see his friend, the Shepard,
Nor eat in the valley he lived in.
That one little sheep that lost it's way,
And shall now pay the price,
It just happened to be him that lost his way,
A simple roll of the dice.
The sheep didn't know what to do,
So cried out to his Shepard for help,
But, he was all alone now,
No one could hear his yelp.
The sheep realized the truth,
That his Shepard didn't care.
That he was on his own now,
How could this be fair?
He wondered on, all by himself,
And found new friends along the way,
But, none could replace the Shepard,
That let him get away.
~What the Hell is Up With Guys?~
This is one I'm sure many of you girls can relate to...*wink* Guys, umm... no offense. *smile*
Guys: A simple word that mean so much,
But how their caring words can touch.
Their wondering eyes at you can look,
But near their hearts is poison took.
They lure you in, they cast you out.
They steal your heart, what's that about?
They make you think they really care,
But, ending up that way is rare.
Guys know how to stick in your mind,
But, then they're gone and they've left you behind.
They buy your lunch and expect a kiss,
They have a style you wouldn't mind to miss.
They grab your heart and hold on tight,
And drag you on with all your might.
They wouldn't be so bad, they're just so addicting.
They make their feelings impossible at predicting.
They think we are the ones that ruin their lives,
But, it's always the husbands, never the wives.
They have a passion for raising our hopes,
And dropping us off at the end of our ropes.
"Guys" in the dictionary would mean "real jerks,"
"Masters of deception and avoiders of work."
"Guys are the rulers of the 'puppy-dog face,'
"And buckle under scenes of complete embrace."
Guys are the keepers of women's sanity,
With their good looks and serious vanity.
They sometimes live to be the jerks they are,
And sometimes go way, way, too far.
They think our hearts are hack sacs.
They devour our feelings like we're their snacks.
A guy to a girl is a bee to a flower.
Finally reach the heart and the pollen's quite sour.
They think shooting animals is 'fun' to do,
And enjoy stabbing fish cheeks, too.
They think animal's heads are some great prize,
What the hell is up with guys?!
~Outward, Upward, Gone~
This one's kinda hard to understand, but look deep, and you'll see what it's about.
Whereas the mountains
reach
the bottoms of the sky
and the sea
covers the valleys
of the unknown
delirious, deceived
and hidden in
darkness
The images of arbitrary
over and gone
visions
dance around the lampstand
When in life
does
the moon and sun shine
the same sky?
The sun's rays
flood
down the river of no return
And leave no trace.
~Experiencing~
Again, another most of us can relate to.
When the walls of life collapse,
And the pleasures in life are few,
When you're left alone and hurt,
And your heart is broken in two,
Try to remember the meaning of life,
And replace the frown with a smile,
Try and remember who you are,
And always keep your own style.
When you feel like your stomach is caving in,
And your hurt can be seen in you,
When all your friends turn their backs,
And love cannot show through,
Believe in yourself and what you can do,
Always see the bright side,
Believe in the healing power of love,
And give yourself some pride.
When you feel the cage around you,
And feel the screams from inside,
When all the clouds seem to drift away,
And no one seeks love to provide,
Remember to love no matter what,
And blow off the hurtful things,
Remember to trust and give your trust,
And look for look what tomorrow brings.
~The Other Way~
This one's kinda dull, but it's short, so I figured I'd put it on anyway. *shrug*
One,
Two,
Just be you.
Three,
Four,
Be some more.
Five,
Six,
When life kicks.
Seven,
Eight,
Just be great.
Nine,
Ten,
Where've you been?
~Undestined Love~
This one's also dedicated to a very close friend
A love that wasn't meant to be,
A love that wasn't destiny,
A crush that swept you away,
A crush that led you astray.
That special person you'll never forget,
That time in your life you'll never regret,
A feeling you never thought you could feel,
A heart you blindly let them steal.
The deepest scar you've ever felt,
The only smile that made you melt,
A love that ripped your heart apart,
Not meant to be right from the start.
The hardest thing you'll ever let go,
The hardest time to have to grow,
The brightest star in the entire sky,
That never got the chance to fly.
A love deeper than any other,
That you must deny and find another,
A love that wasn't meant to be,
This love just wasn't destiny.
~My Love is a Game to You~
Teasing my heart is a game to you,
You help all my fears end up true,
You laugh when I cry,
You'll laugh when I die,
My love is a game to you.
You hear my cries of pain, but still,
My heart is what you want to kill.
You laugh when I'm sad,
You laugh when I'm mad,
My love is a game to you.
You torment me and lead me on,
Make me believe all hope is gone,
You laugh when I ache,
You laugh at my heartbreak,
My love is a game to you.
You trample my feelings and hurt me,
You mock my emotions and kill me.
You laugh when I fail,
You laugh when I wail,
My love is a game to you.
You play around with what I've been dealt,
You've never understood how I've felt,
You laugh when I lose,
You laugh and abuse,
My love is a game to you.
~When Someone You Love is Gone~
When someone you love is gone,
A hole in your heart is torn.
The absense of their voice,
Is the most intense scorn.
The void they used to fill,
Is painfully exposed,
And the love they used to give,
Is now forever inclosed.
Their laughter forever laughs,
Their dreams forever dream,
And now that love you gave to them,
Is forever and always agleam.
You hear them call to you sometimes,
And realize they're not there,
You recognize the painful truth,
That you're living in a nightmare.
You'll never forget that special friend,
Or the love they shared with you.
You'll never forget the times you've had,
They showed you that friendships true.
~You Wonder Why~
You see what I have,
But deny what I need,
You tear my heart out,
And wonder why I bleed.
You understand what I say,
But don't do what I ask,
You tear off my face,
And deny me a mask.
You laugh at my dreams,
And ask why I cry,
You deny me my life,
But won't let me die.
You encourage my hurt,
And refuse my repair,
You know that you hurt me,
But don't seem to care.
You stomp on my heart,
But don't see how it kills,
You tear me apart,
And laugh as blood spills.
~Out-Side In~
Inside, all things make sense,
Every file in its place,
A lonely heart with a lonely life,
A mind that takes up space.
Knowledge and fact set in stone,
Emotions and feelings dispersed,
Scattered throughout, this chaos lives,
All reality broken and cursed.
But, outside, the world lives on,
A perfect illusion we call home,
A cage, a trap, a maze of deception,
A field where lost pawns roam.
A place where desperate souls can hide,
An escape from who they are,
A half-truth people refuse to see,
A game taken too far.
Two separate worlds in one,
Living together, side by side,
But, this outside world in its flaw,
Is incapable of seeing the inside.
~If You Love Me~
If you love me,
Let it be known.
If love is there,
It should be shown.
I want you to see,
What makes me smile.
Take the effort,
Go the extra mile.
If you love me,
Look me in the eye.
Tell me you'll do anything,
Except make me cry.
Hold my hand,
When I feel alone.
Open your heart,
Don't turn it to stone.
If you love me,
Don't question my heart.
Feel me near you,
Even when we're apart.
Sit and talk with me,
Just be my friend,
Tell me it's okay,
When it feels like the end.
If you love me,
Say it and mean it.
I may already know,
But I still need to hear it.
Dry my tears,
Bring joy to my day.
I want to miss you,
The minute you're away.
If you love me,
Kiss my cheek.
That's all I need,
When I feel weak.
Spend time with me,
Tell me about you.
If you know me,
I should know you, too.
If you love me,
Sit and hold me tight,
Hide me from my life,
When it's hard to fight.
Respect what I tell you,
Hear what I say.
Give me my space,
But never go away.
If you love me,
Make it true.
But if you don't,
Don't say that you do.
~What You Cannot See~
I cover up
What you cannot see,
Scared to death
That you'll see me.
I wear my masks
To hide my face,
I put up walls
To keep my space.
Don't feel bad
If I push you away,
I'm scared if you get close,
You won't want to stay.
Please understand
When I tell you
How hard it is
To let me show through.
With your support,
My dear friend,
My masks can come off.
I'll be me in the end.
