Romance of Gundam Wing

Romance of Gundam Wing
(A story of Quatre, Trowa, Heero and Duo)

By: Ana

This is especially dedicated to a friend for Christmas. I don't write all that great, but his fanfics inspired me to write a special love story of Quatre and Trowa, along with the love story of Heero and Duo. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Quatre looked at the unusually still, dark wall of his room. It was quiet. It has been too long since the last time he'd heard of that wonderful man, Trowa Barton. It was too long for Quatre to manipulate. He slowly brushed his delicate pale hands against his own silky blonde hair. It has been months, no… years since the last he saw him. What if he had forgotten him from the past years? What if he… no. Trowa was too sweet and kind to be a man who'd forget him. No, not after what they've gone through. Quatre was reassured of his own thought, hoping that Trowa was who he thought he was. His gentle breathing was easily heard from his quiet room. It seemed too dark and lifeless. He could recall the duet he and Trowa had done several times. It was always the sweetest sound of music ever heard in that home.

It's been years… so what? Trowa couldn't have forgotten him.

Quatre sighed. He knew he had to see the truth one day. Why would Trowa stay loving him? Why would he? After all the years he could've at least met someone. "Oh Trowa… please don't forget…"

"Master Quatre? Are you alright?" Rasid asked, walking inside his room.

Quatre looked at him and faked a smiled. "I'm fine. Don't worry so much." He said.

Rasid nodded and left the room. "Sir, what did he say?" one of the forty men asked. He sighed as a reply. "Ever since Master Quatre and Trowa separated, he always acted so glum," he finally said, sitting down on a chair.

"Perhaps we should get Master Trowa over here to see him," the man suggested.

"No. That is unspeakable! Quatre would probably hate…or maybe Trowa would refuse. We should stay out of this," he confirmed.

* * *

Trowa was standing still. It was another performance night, and Catherine was doing her routine act of hurling knives. Just as the last knife flew, Trowa remained still and silent, like always. Something was puzzling in his mind, however. He was trying to recall the last day of the war: Heero Yuy VS Milliardo Peacecraft, and then the battle against Merimeia Khushrenada. Catherine took a bow and looked at her concerned brother. She knew that behind that mask, something was bothering him.

As the crew left back to the dressing rooms, Catherine sneaked behind Trowa as he was on his way to feed the lions. Trowa sighed and flung slabs of meat into the metal, glistening lion cage bars. He slowly smiled and stroked one of the lions as it was gluttonously eating. "You know, even if the war did end, I found more than just peace. I found despair. I know I should be happy, but… it's just… well… I can't concentrate. To tell you the truth, I'm starting to get worried of Catherine's aiming. I think it's just that something's missing. Something that I can't live without. I know it sounds corny… but… I miss him," Trowa lamented.

Catherine smiled. "Hey Trowa. I see you already fed them." She said, sneaking out of her spot and pretending not to hear anything.

"What? Cathy? What are you doing here?" Trowa asked, wiping away some incoming tears.

"Oh, well, can't I just visit the lions every once and a while?" She laughed. She walked towards the cage and touched the bars gently.

"Sorry, I'm just not used to you coming in like that." He said. Catherine leaned her back against the cage and crossed her arms.

"So, I believe tomorrow's a special day."

"What's so special about it?"

Catherine laughed. "Silly! It's the party! You know where we all celebrate our reunion of the family, here at the circus. Don't you forget!" She smiled and left. "Yeah. Sure. A party, where everyone will enjoy and watch our performances. It means nothing to me." He said and looked back through the bars as the lions licked their lips, searching for extra meat crumbs. "Quatre…" He sighed.

The lions were mellow and purred at the name coming from his lips. Trowa closed his eyes, recalling memories. He gently laughed and touched the cold steel bars of the cage. Rather than the lions being inside the cage, he felt like it was he inside. Closure was so long ago, but it never died in his heart. Not truly. It still sparked with one flaming light. He missed that extra person in the cage with him. That was the flaming light.

Quatre was looking out his window. Slowly, the door opened. "Master Quatre, there's a call for you." Quatre nodded without a sound and looked at the screen telephone. The black screen soon showed the image of one of his old friends, Duo.

"Yo, Quatre! How are things?" Duo smiled. His hair was as long as usual, perhaps longer, and never had a change in attitude.

Quatre sighed. "As well as can be, I guess. For you?"

Duo laughed perkily. "Well, you know… Heero isn't really in his exciting moods, now that the fight's been over, and I guess it goes the same for me. How's Trowa?"

Again Quatre sighed. "Haven't heard from him for years. It's almost been a decade."

"What? Are you kidding? You two were as close as can be the last I heard. What happened?"

Quatre settled his head on his hands. "We just… well… I think we just got out of touch… that's all. I guess he got sick of me or something."

Duo noticed Quatre's sad expression. He looked down and then up again at the screen. "I bet that's not true. Maybe a misunderstanding. Anywho, don't feel bad. We'll see him soon enough."

"What do you mean, Duo?"

Again, his perky smile crept in. "Me and Heero are going to the circus tomorrow to meet up with him. Ya know… a little surprise. Just the three of us. You can see Trowa again, bud!"

Quatre's eyes widened. His heart raced for once in a long time. "But, what if he doesn't want to see me? What if he found someone else? What if-" Quatre looked away, holding his head in his hands, thinking of bad thoughts.

"What if, what if, what if! Just relax! Heero and I'll pick ya up tomorrow morning, K?"

"Alright." He sighed, and tried to calm down.

"Oh, and Quatre?"

"Yeah?"

"Get some rest. You seem really tense. You should relax. You'll see him soon, all right. It'll be fine."

"Thanks, Duo." He hung up. Quatre smiled and throwed open the drapes to explicate light in his room. I'll finally see you again! Trowa! I can't wait!

* * *

Trowa was slowly getting out of bed. Just another lonely day, like always. He put on his clothes and looked outside. The circus tickets were being sold. He suspired and walked out, meeting up with Catherine, who was already in her performance clothes.

"Hurry up, Trowa! You're never this late on getting up!" She said. Trowa nodded and placed on his mask. "Cheer up, bro! You never know! Maybe you'll meet that special someone!" Catherine said, in a change of tone.

Trowa despondently looked at the ground. "You still believe that? You really have no idea." He said and walked into the stage with Cathy.

* * *

"YO! QUATRE! WE'RE READY FOR YA!" Duo yelled up the large mansion.

"Duo, you don't need to yell like that." Heero snapped.

"Aw, c'mon! What got you all raveled up?" Duo smiled.

Heero shrugged. "I still think this might not be the best idea. What if Quatre and Trowa don't hit it off as well as we'd like them to?" He asked.

Duo laughed. "You've gotta be kidding me! It's obvious that they'll hit it off just fine!"

"I guess you're right."

Duo scoffed. "Guess? GUESS? Of course I'm right!"

Heero smiled. "You're really earsplitting today."

Duo blushed. "Well… maybe… but you still need to lighten up!"

"Ok, ok. I know you're right. It's be absurd if they don't hit it off."

Duo laughed. "There you go, Heero!"

Quatre walked down the stairs, wearing a red sweater, khaki pants and nice shoes. "Quatre? C'mon! You're going to see your boyfriend! At least you can be more creative than that!" Duo joked. Quatre smiled, and jumped the rest of the way down.

"It's great to see you two again. It's been a long time." He said, standing near Duo and facing Heero.

Duo looked at Quatre up and down, trying to measure heights. "Quatre, you… shrunk!" Duo gently laughed. It was obvious. Quatre was even shorter than Duo than before. Quatre smiled again, looking at how much longer Duo's hair grew. He and Heero were together for a long time, Quatre obviously saw that, but he really wanted to know how it happened.

"How are you, Heero?" Quatre asked, finally noticing the neglected man on the side.

"You can say it's a miracle I can live with Duo for this long of a time." He answered, crossing his arms, having a little mischief on his face.

"Hey, Heero! I'm right here! You should at least wait until I leave to say stuff behind my back!" Duo scolded, waving his arms in the air. Heero smiled. Duo smiled back. "My Heero made a joke!" Duo celebrated and began cheering, placing his arms around Heero and kissing his cheek.

"We better get going. We don't want to be late." Heero said, semi-embarrassed.

* * *

The three boys landed. "So how did you two get together?" Quatre asked, getting off the shuttle.

"It's a long story." Heero sighed.

"We have time, right?" Quatre said, looking at his watch.

Duo smiled. "Of course we do!" They walked to a coffee shop and Duo told the tale of their love. Quatre sighed. It was after Relena's party, last year… the one Trowa didn't bother showing up at. Soon, Duo yelped.

"What is it?" Heero asked.

Duo blushed. "Uh… err... umm… well… we're late…" He said, sinking his head under the table.

Quatre jumped. "OH NO!"

"Hurry up! We're missing the knife act!" Quatre hollered. Duo nodded and grabbed onto Heero's hand tightly.

"I don't see what the big deal is, Duo." Heero scowled.

Duo sweetly smiled. "We are reuniting Quatre with Trowa, dip stick!" he answered. Duo looked around and back at Quatre, who was running with a kind face like a little schoolboy. I've never seen him so excited before. He thought.

Quatre stopped. "Now… I remember why I didn't visit…" He sighed. The boys stopped, staring at their friend. "Trowa and I were close. I don't really understand our separation. It just happened. I guess I was scared, or more likely confused. Trowa and I wanted to be together forever… but…" He broke into sad tears. "I bet he doesn't want to see me." He sighed through his sobs.

Heero glared and sat next to his weeping friend. "Look whatever happened, happened. You can't change that, but if you love Trowa as much as we all know you loved him, you will find the strength to go back to him. Duo taught me that." He said.

Duo smiled. "Oh Heero! You're so sweet!" He wrapped his arms around his lover.

Quatre smiled. "Thanks, you guys. I'll do that," he said and the boys carried through running.

* * *

The crowd cheered and stood up. The wave of applause was covering the stage. Trowa casually looked around the audience, hoping to see his "Little One". He looked at the ground, noticing that Quatre was not there. As he walked off the set, Catherine followed.

"Oh no! We missed it!" Quatre cried.

"That's ok, bud! He's coming back in the next half-hour for an encore," Duo smiled.

Quatre looked around. "I really hope so." They sat down in the crowd and began their wait.

The crowd was going wild. The knife-throwing act was the most favored act of the whole circus, especially since this was the celebration.

* * *

Trowa took off his mask. "What's wrong, Trowa? You actually looked a little scared this time!" Catherine said concernedly. Trowa took out a picture in his pocket. He smiled as he gazed at the picture's soft blue eyes, which fit perfectly with its golden blonde hair. "Trowa? Are you listening to me?" his sister called. Trowa paid no attention. "No encore, Cathy. I can't do it," he said as he walked off. "What? Trowa! Come back here! Trowa!"

* * *

"I'll be back soon, guys. Go find me when the knife act is going on." Quatre smiled and left. He began walking. Perhaps he could see Trowa before he performed. Quatre smiled at his idea and began walking towards the nearby tent. Suddenly, he saw Trowa racing out of the tent, totally missing Quatre close by. "Trowa!" Quatre yelled and began running after him.

Trowa finally looked back, noticing the voice was different and not Cathy's. His eyes widened. "Q-Quatre?" he whispered.

Quatre smiled and nodded, as tears fell from his eyes. "Trowa," he whispered back. Trowa couldn't control himself. He ran to Quatre and hugged him. Quatre's head was pressed up against Trowa's chest. Quatre began gently crying and soon Trowa joined him. He embraced the much shorter Quatre and held him tighter.

"Oh Trowa. Please explain to me what happened so many years ago," Quatre pleaded. Trowa shook his head. "What matters is now, Little One," He replied, rocking gently.

"I've missed you so much, Trowa! I… I…" Quatre found a lump in his throat and began bawling with lamentation. The taller one placed his right hand under Quatre's chin. He once again felt the smooth and beautiful skin of his true love. Trowa knew what Quatre was going to say.

His lover's tears stunned Quatre. They were falling as fast as his own. Trowa smiled. "Welcome back, my Little One." He soothingly said and leaned over, kissing Quatre’s young and delicate lips. Quatre bemoaned even more. He was longing for that kiss for such a long time. It was so warm, true and soothing. Trowa brushed away the tears falling from his lover's eyes. As they grasped on tighter, the kiss advanced. Quatre was perplexed by Trowa's tongue penetrating his mouth, brushing against his teeth, and finding his own tongue. Finally, the passionate kiss ended and Quatre looked into Trowa's dark green eyes.

"I love you." Quatre said. Trowa smiled charmingly and gave Quatre another hug. He knew.

"My dearest Quatre. I never stopped thinking of you. Please tell me you’re not mad at me," he said.

Quatre laughed. "After a kiss like that? Of course I'm not mad at you!"

* * *

"We are sorry to say that the encore act was canceled. Do not fret ladies and gentlemen! You will have plenty fun without it!" Catherine said. The audience groaned a little, including Duo. "We promised poor Quatre he'd see Trowa! Man!" he complained.

Heero smiled sheepishly. "You never know, Duo. He'll see him. I know it." He said.

* * *

Quatre looked at Trowa as they were quietly walking farther and farther away from the circus tent. "Trowa, don't you have an act to perform?" he finally asked.

Trowa smiled at Quatre. "It doesn't matter to me. I just want to be with you. I've missed out too much," he answered.

Quatre nodded, and leaned his head on Trowa's shoulder. "I've missed you so much. Trowa, I really would like to know how-" Trowa cut him off by quickly stopping. "Trowa?" He said nothing. A small smile crept from the corners of his lips. He motioned Quatre to follow and began walking another direction.

The two lovers reached a point in the colony, far off the circus grounds. A park. "Trowa? What is it?" Quatre asked. "Quatre, I've waited for seven years for you to show. Seven." He said. Quatre got nervous. What if he did find another? Quatre couldn't keep it at suspense. "Tell me! Do you have a boyfriend already, Trowa? Please! Answer me!" He sobbed.

Trowa's expression became sad. "Little One, please don't cry. I don't have a boyfriend. I'm just overwhelmed."

"Overwhelmed?"

"Yeah. It's just… I've waited for so long, it's hard for me to believe that it's actually you in my arms and not a figment of imagination. I don't want to lose you. Not ever again."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know that you wanted me to go after you."

"I didn't think you'd want me back."

"Explain it, Trowa. Please."

"Quatre…” he pleaded. Reluctantly, he gave in. “Alright. I will tell you why I left. We were young… and in love. The battle against Mariemaia made me realize something. I was living by a fake and repulsive name. You fell in love with the man with that name. You called him that, over and over. I knew it was just a name… but I was also confused with my love for you. I never loved a man before… heck, I hadn't even fallen in love with a woman. I never wanted anything. Nothing. I just wished to fulfil my mission and have the war end, that's all. I never knew how it was like loving another, and when our lips met… I got more confused. I had to leave and find out what my heart was telling me. I'm sorry that I burned you. I still don't believe it is actually you, my love. My Quatre."

"But it is me. Who else could it be? It just seems like a dream to me as well. It's been so long, and you've grown more handsome than before. I almost didn't recognize you."

"It's me."

"Then if you are you and I am me, then we have nothing to worry about. We are really in each other's arms. Thank you for telling me what happened, Trowa."

Trowa smiled in approval. He loved the way Quatre said those kinds of things. It made him tingle all over. "I love you, my beloved Quatre."

* * *

Heero sighed. "I wonder where Quatre is. He hasn't come back for a while now." Duo laughed, stuffing his mouth with cotton candy. He took out a piece and handed it to Heero. Heero looked at the cotton candy and then at Duo skeptically.

Duo smiled. "Look, we might as well make the best out of things. By now, Quatre probably found Trowa." He said. Heero nodded and ate the cotton candy from Duo's hands.

* * *

Nightfall grew near. Quatre and Trowa were lying on their backs staring into the sky as it changed into blackness. Trowa looked at Quatre scrupulously. "Quatre… you seem lost in thought. What is it?" He asked after a few minutes of silence. Even though it was dark, the whites of each other's eyes were easily noticed. Quatre delicately smiled and looked at the staring green eyes. "I was thinking of the first day I fell in love with you."

Trowa smiled back, looking up to the incomprehensible sky. "I remember. That, I will never forget."

"It was during the war against OZ. I don't know about you, but the first time our Gundams were fighting. When I walked out of Sandrock and you walked out of Heavy Arms." Quatre sighed. Trowa moved closer, to hear Quatre's recap in louder and bolder words.

"You were wonderful. When I took you to my home, I never felt so happy in my life. Sure, I had other friends, but I knew that you were different. I knew that I was going to fall into your arms one day and fall in love with you. When I played my violin and you played the flute, I never knew you'd have me. I thought you were only interested in being my friend… nothing more. Then it was-"

"-That one night." Trowa finished for him.

Quatre sighed with passionate energy. "That was after you came back for the shadows I thought I killed you in." He said.

Trowa gently laughed. "I never fell in love with a guy who almost killed me before." He said.

Quatre laughed back. "You kidding? You just told me you never fell in love before!"

Trowa laughed again. "I was joking. Go on." The tiny one went on with his story.

"It was when we were finally reunited… remember?"

"Yes. Perfectly. That was my first kiss with you." Trowa smiled and closed his eyes.

* * *

"Heero? Do you think we should leave without Quatre?" Duo asked, walking with his tall and dark boyfriend. Heero nodded. "He had to have found Trowa. After all, Trowa only did one act and we missed it. They must be together somewhere."

"Yeah, let's just hope so. So what are you planning to do to get Relena off your case?" Duo pried.

Heero jumped. "What? What do you mean, Duo? What about Relena?" He asked.

Duo exhaled upwards, causing his bangs to hover for a few seconds. "What do I mean? What about Relena? *Scoff* C'mon, Heero. Don't tell me you haven't told her about us!" Duo scolded.

"Hugh? Well… I haven't found the time to tell her. Besides, you'd have to be an idiot to think we aren't together."

"EXACTLY MY POINT HEERO!"

"Ok! Ok! Don't blow a gasket over it! I'll tell her soon, but-"

"HEERO!"

"Ok, I'll tell her tonight. You don't have to be so pushy!"

* * *

"As I saw you, I couldn't let anyone know what my true feeling were, yet. I had to show you on my own. I took you into a separate room, and then you wrapped your arms around me…" Quatre said, dazed.

Trowa smiled and placed his arm under Quatre's neck. "I'm glad you came. Everything sounds like poetry when hearing it from you," he whispered.

Quatre smiled. "Let's never be separated ever again. I'll always love you Trowa."

Trowa nodded and kissed Quatre again. "And I will always be loved."

"Trowa!"

Trowa laughed. "Quatre, I was joking. My love for you is boundless."

* * *

Heero sulked back to his apartment. How on earth was he going to tell Relena without making her angry? Sure, he could care less about her, but he still felt he had to be nice to her. Duo left with Hirde back to his colony. Of course, Heero was planning to ask Duo to move in with him, but first he had to solve the Relena problem.

He walked to his futon and lied down, staring at the ceiling. Why was he so attached to Relena in the first place? He never was happy with her. He looked out the near-by window. The stars were shining bright and the moon reflected right into his room. He looked over at a picture of Duo. Surprising that Relena hadn't suspected a thing.

Heero remembered the time he fell in love with Duo Maxwell… the American pilot of Deathscythe. It was a normal day; no one ever knew such a crazed thing would happen. It was a few years after the war, after Relena's birthday.

* * *

"Hey Heero." Duo smirked, sitting on the booth next to him. They were in the best bar in the colonies.

"What'll ya have, sugar?" The bartender asked. Duo smiled and touched the female's hand. "Whatever your cute little face wants. Surprise me," he said.

She smiled. "Sure." She walked to the back.

Heero was staring at Duo. "What is it with you?" Heero asked.

"Some guys have it and some guys don't!" Duo laughed.

The woman came back and poured some kind of liquor into a cold glass. She handed it to Duo and winked. "How much will that be, sweetie?" Duo asked.

"It's on the house." She softly said and walked to the other side.

Duo laughed. "I get more free stuff that way," he said and looked at Heero’s staring eyes.

Heero just couldn't understand what made him so happy all the time. The war was over and Heero just happened to have nothing to do with his life. He was raised as a soldier and he intended to live as one.

Duo noticed Heero's confused face. "You gotta learn to lighten up, Heero Yuy," he said and drank from the glass. "Hmmm. This stuff is great!"

"Duo, what the hell makes you so relaxed?"

"The war's over, my friend. It has been for a while now. Give the tough-guy crap a rest!"

"You wouldn't understand."

"Ok, maybe I wouldn't. Big deal. So anyway, how's RELENA doing?"

Heero noticed how Duo sneered when he said her name. "What do you mean?"

"Ha! What do I mean? Come on! You two are hitting it off aren't you? Is she making you happy?"

Heero looked at his empty glass. "I don't know. Whenever I'm around her, I don't feel much happiness. Just as I thought, she doesn't understand me either."

"Hey, let's do something fun! Shots!" Duo smiled, excluding Heero's answer.

"Shots?"

Duo rolled his eyes. "Don't tell me you never had shots before! You know, the little drinking glasses?"

"Oh. How do you play?"

"Let’s have a race, shall we? Ma'am, me and this guy here wants some shots on the double!" Duo called out. The bartender smiled and began filling some shots and sliding them towards the two pilots.

"Ready? Go!" Duo yelled and began taking shots. Heero was keeping up with him, drinking and picking up the next one and drinking and picking up the next one.

Soon, neither Duo nor Heero could take anymore. They looked at each other. "Wasn't that fun?" Duo asked. Heero nodded. He had to admit, he did enjoy himself. "You know, Heero? I do understand you. You don't know any other way to live other than fight. I know what you mean. Let's go take a walk. I want to explain some things to you," he said. Heero wasn't sure if it was he or the liquor talking, but he agreed.

The two boys walked out of the bar and into the alley behind it. "Heero, you aren't alone in this world. I want you to know that," he said.

"Duo, I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you drunk or what?" Heero replied.

Duo smiled. "It takes more than a couple of shots to get me drunk," he said.

"Duo, I know I'm not alone. It's just I'm the only one who's gone through the pain I have."

"That's not true, Heero. I felt pain like yours. I think the only way to turn that pain into happiness is to…"

"To what?"

Duo couldn't take it anymore. He leaned over and kissed Heero. Heero's eyes widened, but he soon noticed that he was kissing back. He wrapped his arms around Duo and held him closer. As the kiss slowly ended, Duo looked into Heero's confused but comforting eyes. "I need to go." Duo said and left.

Heero walked to his apartment. He lied on the bed, wondering what just happened in that alley. Relena walked in and lied next to Heero. "Where were you?" She asked, rubbing her head against his chest.

He hated it when she did that. "Nowhere. Just drinking." He said. Relena smiled and gave him a kiss. "You know… I'm kind of worried about Duo." She said. Heero jumped from the name. "Why? What about him?" He asked.

"He was looking at you all throughout my party. Do you think he's-"

"No. He isn't. He has Hirde, right?"

"Maybe… but he keeps on saying they're friends."

"So? Just because he was looking at me? So does Wu Fei, and that doesn't mean he likes me." Heero pouted.

"Heero, I know that means nothing… but still. He had a lot of thought in his face."

"Look, Relena, does he act like a homosexual?"

"No."

"Then, there you go."

"You're right. Good night, Heero."

The next day Heero wake up. Relena was there in his arms. She was innocently cuddling with him, and Heero noticed something. He didn't feel anything with Relena and he wasn't completely drunk last night. He was TRULY kissing Duo Maxwell! "Damn." He muttered and ran to his screen phone. He dialed Duo's number. Unfortunately he got the proverbial machine. Heero scowled. "Fine. I'll have to find him myself."

He walked outside and saw Duo was coming. What was he doing in his apartment building? Duo looked up and saw Heero. They just stared. "Heero…" He whispered. He just remained staring at Duo's blue eyes.

"Were you completely drunk last night?" Heero finally asked.

Duo blushed. "Were you?"

"No."

"Neither was I."

They stared at each other again. "Heero-"

"Duo I…" They said simultaneously. "Heero, you go."

"No you first."

"Alright. I liked it. I liked kissing you. It just felt so right. Perfect. It was like fate." Heero was shocked. Duo had taken the words out of his mouth.

"Duo, come here."

Duo walked closer and Heero hinged his hands behind Duo's back. Duo made the second move and kissed the man of his dreams. It was more passionate than it was before. Duo placed his hands on Heero's jaw and inserted his tongue inside his mouth. He gladly began teasing his tongue and nipped at it. Duo snickered and held tighter. Heero knew it had to be destiny. It felt right, and it was just as he had expected. It was just like Duo said. It was fate.

* * *

Dawn broke and Heero opened his eyes. Relena was knocking at the door again. He groaned. "Damn it. I forgot to tell her! Duo's going to have my head on a platter. I might as well tell her now." He walked to the door and opened it. Relena happily greeted him with a hug. "Good morning, Heero!" She smiled. Heero rolled his eyes. "Relena, we have to talk." He said. Relena nodded and went inside Heero's apartment.

Heero sat down on his futon and Relena was on the table. "What is it?" she pondered. "Relena, I think you’ve got the wrong idea. I don't love you and I never did, so why are you always bothering me?" He asked. Relena smiled. "Oh Heero! You're so noble! Of course you wouldn't tell the woman you loved that you loved her yet…" She responded. She suddenly warped into her little dream world, where she and Heero would marry and have children. Heero got quickly irritated and stood up.

"Relena! I don't love you, ok?! I’m with someone else that I love very dearly!" he yelled.

Relena's eyes widened. "What? I haven't seen you with anyone else except Duo but you couldn't possibly…" She trailed off after looking at Heero's expression. "Oh God. It's DUO?!"

Heero nodded. "But Heero! Are you… no… you couldn't be!" She snapped, standing up. Heero nodded again. Relena grunted brutally in disgust. "I can't BELIEVE THIS!" she yelled. Her eyes glazed over as all her dreams got smashed and shattered in billions of little pieces.

"What about the children, Heero?"

"What children?!" Heero screamed.

"The children we were going to have and our beautiful wedding! Oh God, please think of the children!"

Heero slapped his head. "Relena, there aren't any kids, and there wasn't and never will have a wedding!"

"B-But…"

"Look, if you can't handle it, leave," he said.

"Fine! I will!" Relena yelled and ran off.

Heero groaned. Damn it. I didn't want to break her in half! Oh God… poor girl…

Relena stormed down the hall. How could he? I followed him for such a long time! What about what happened that first time we met? What about when we danced in my old school? AUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH! THAT HEERO YUY! she yelled in her mind and stormed off faster. She reached the elevator and pressed the ‘down’ button. She growled. Who does he think he is? I've been all over him and he didn't even consider it! The elevator doors opened and Duo walked out.

"Hmm? Oh, hey Relena! What are you doing up here? How are ya doing?" Duo asked. Relena screamed and pushed Duo out of her way into the hall. She got in the elevator and beat the first floor button until the doors closed. "Whoa-ho! I'm taking that she didn't take it so well." Duo said, scratching his head. He walked to Heero's apartment.

He knocked on the door a few times and Heero answered quickly. "G' Morning Sunshine!" Duo smiled and kissed his boyfriend. Heero didn't hesitate, until a few seconds into the kiss.

"Did you see Relena?" He asked.

Duo was confused. Why the hell would he ask about Relena? "Yeah. She gave me the murder yell and went in the elevator." Duo replied.

Heero groaned again. "Damn. That's what I was afraid of," he muttered.

"Hmm? Why do you care, Heero? It's not like you cared, right?" Duo asked.

Heero smiled. "Of course I didn't. Relena is Relena. You’re the one I care about. I was just hoping that she wouldn't go crazy after she found out I was with you," he explained and placed his arms around Duo's waist. Duo mischievously smiled and placed his arms around Heero's neck.

"Now we don't have to worry when she sees us." Duo smiled.

Heero laughed lightly. "I wouldn't count on that. We'd be lucky if she wouldn't shoot us both."

"That's ok, Heero. I'm just glad you don't have her hanging over you every second anymore." Duo smiled.

"Now what about Hirde?"

"What about Hirde?! Heero! I thought I explained to you that Hirde and I are only friends!" Duo yelled.

Heero laughed loudly. "I was kidding, Duo!"

Duo blushed, and twiddled his thumbs. "I knew that!" He snapped.

"Yeah, whatever. Just come here and let's get going. I have to dress and you can help yourself to the fridge." Duo smirked with mischief again. Heero rolled his eyes and walked inside.

Heero walked into the bathroom and began taking a shower. Duo walked to the kitchen and made himself some tea. "What's the plan today?" Duo asked, taking a sip from the tea.

"Plan? Since when did we have a plan?" Heero asked.

Duo smiled. "Good point." Heero quickly dried off and put on his clothes. "Ready?" Duo asked.

"Sure. Let's hit the road," he nodded.

Duo smiled wider. "Yeah. Let's teach that damn road a lesson!" Again, Heero rolled his eyes and walked out of the room. "Hey! Wait-up!" Duo followed.

Heero sped up, trying to make Duo angry. "Heero, you bastard! Wait for me!" he yelled.

Heero began humming a tune. "Sorry, Duo, can't hear you. All I hear is Relena's voice." He said.

"HEERO!" He yelled even louder.

Heero began running. Just a little while longer and he'll burst. Heero thought, and smiled. Duo finally snapped and Heero stopped. Duo tackled Heero on the ground, and began to wrestle.

"YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" Duo yelled. Heero laughed and held Duo, who stopped throwing fists at him. "You made me mad, Heero!" Duo pointed out.

"That was the idea." Heero said, sitting up and holding him closer. Duo smiled. He could never stay mad at him.

"Heero, I love you." Duo smiled and laid his head on his lover's chest.

"I love you too, Duo. Never forget that."
