WHISPERS IN THE DEEP
The mermaid whispers in the deep....
Of many promises lovers did not keep.
They hear the sighs of the ladies on the wind....
Crying and wondering where their man has been.
The unkind fate of the ocean roar....
Keeps them from love and more.
While the sun rises and it sets....
For the men's return, does not make good bets.
The women are restless in their sleep....
Some cry out and some will weep.
The pain and agony their hearts bare....
Makes each beat unruly there.
The mystical mermaid doesn't dream....
Her love for that man is really mean.
She basks in her conquest of his mind.
And laughs at you because him you will never find.
