Yes, it's official. Following in the famous footsteps of Gran Turismo 2, Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated (SCEI) has announced that the new Japanese release date for GT3 is "April", which also will no doubt delay the U.S. and Euro launches to May. Don't quote me on that, but it is a good guestimate. SCEI issued this statement this morning:
"We've changed the release date of Gran Turismo 3 A Spec to April from the previously announced Feb. 15 date. In order to bring up the quality of the game as high as possible, we have decided to change the release date this time. We apologize for the inconveniences this may cause to all of you who have supported this title, and cordially ask for your understanding. Our apology also goes to the customers who have been eagerly waiting for the GT3, and we kindly ask for their further patience."
We will keep you updated if anything else happens on this.
