Good evening, and welcome once again to "Hardwood Nights", your on-the-spot entertainment news source for the sleepy little hamlet of Hardwood. I'm your host Od Bodkins, and here at CNN (the Castle News Network) we are dedicated to bringing you the latest, breaking news in any way, shape, or form that could have an effect on hearth and home. I'm here at the White Lion Inn, known for miles around as the best place to rest your "bod" or fill it with scrumptious fare and hearty ale. This is the premier night spot in Hardwood. All the locals gather here for food and fun, and occasionally there are foreign travelers with news of other lands. Look over there, old Aubrey the Charlatan is trying to entertain a group of people with his shell game. "Hey, Aubrey don't con those fine people too badly now! You wouldn't want to tarnish the reputation of this fine estab........" Whooaa! Aubrey has gotten better with his throwing knives!! Uh, let's move over here and see what's going on. Well, this could prove to be interesting; it appears that a visitor to our hamlet is about to get involved in a scuffle with none other than those two red devils Red Yon and Greth! Now these two are not known to be the brawling type; the only time they get a bit out of hand is when they're having one of their fabled drinking contests. I tell you, the White Lion has been known to "roar" when the two of them get together! Let's go over and see if we can find out what's brewing.
"Psst! Hey, Red, it's Od Bodkins with CNN. Can you give us a quick update of the situation? Should women and children start running for cover?"
"Well, in a few seconds I'm going to give this joker a severe case of indigestion from swallowing his head, unless Greth beats me to it"
"You think that Greth is really going to haul off and fight this guy?"
"Hey, you and I both know that Greth is the sort of guy who keeps to himself most of the time, you know, minding his own business without being stand-offish or impolite. He has more friends than just me you know. He definitely has a fire inside of him, though"
"What I meant was, he's been known to have periods of severe moodiness or depression. Do you think this guy is going to push him over the line?"
"Well, none of us really knows where Greth is from. He won't talk about his past. The fact that the Lady Oriabel found him almost dead tells me he's been through some serious hurt in his life. Who really knows what he believes in, or what he's capable of? Hey, I like hanging out with the guy; I don't ask a lot of questions. He definitely has a strong moral character, and once he starts something, boy you had better watch out because he's as tenacious as a blue-speckled limpet! The fact that this loser has ruined Greth's dinner is very dangerous ground indeed!!"
"So who is this guy?"
"Someone who's thinking with his passion and not his head. I think he's been enjoying too much of Aribert's special label, myself. He has no respect for...."
