The Best


 "When he takes he only takes the best" 
He saw that it was time, 
And examined all her years 
So he put his arms around her, 
And whispered "Come With Me." 

With teary eyes I watched, 
Her leave this great world 
Knowing I would never, 
See her again. 

And realizing that, 
Without a Godmother 
I would stay. 

Although I loved her deeply 
I could not make her stay 

A golden heart stopped beating 
Hard working hands were finally at rest, 
God broke my heart to prove to me 
He only takes the best.
