 DAY 1 |
Pick up from your hotel and
drive to the Selous with packed lunch. The coastal panorama of coconut palms with its
small villages and mud huts makes way to the Mangrove swamps, the Rufiji River system. The
Selous game reserve has an area of 30500sqkm and is the second largest in the world, the
largest in Africa.
The Selous support over one million creatures and 2000 different types of plants. You will
visit the Northern parties of the Selous arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at
Rufiji River Camp. This is a tented camp situated on a high bank overlooking the mighty
Rufiji River and the plain beyond. The camp accommodates guests in tents with twin netting
beds, private walled bath, running water and comfortable verandah facing the river.

| DAY 2 |
After breakfast begins with the
most exciting experience the Selous has to offer. A walking safari which is accompanied by
an armed range for approx. 1 to 2 hrs. This allow you to get a real feel of the African
bush and allows you to see much more, especially birds, insects and vegetation. Return to
the camp by vehicle. Lunch at the Camp. After lunch explore the Selous further by game
driving in the Selous. Overnight at the Camp.

| DAY 3 |
After breakfast explore the
Rufiji River by boat. The trip provides the excitement of hippos and re-emerge will a
snort of protest. You will get the opportunity also to see crocodiles on the sandbars and
watch animals drinking along the river banks. Lunch at the camp. After lunch game drive in
the Selous. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Early morning game drive in the
Selous. Breakfast at the camp. After breakfast drive back to Dar es salaam with packed
lunch arriving early afternoon. Drop off to your hotel or to airport for your onward
journey. |
