at Ben Gurion Airport where a
representative of Heartland Tours and the Ministry of Tourism will meet
us and assist with our arrival. We will meet our
guide, Era
Rappaport, board our bus and ascend to Jerusalem.
Welcome drinks and light refreshments at the hotel. After check-in and
rest
from the trip, we proceed to the Kotel where we can daven Ma'ariv (pray
evening
prayers) and tour the
Western Wall Tunnels . Dinner

Wednesday, March
16
– Jerusalem
In the
early
morning we will have the honor of davening Shacharit (pray morning
prayers)
with the President of the State of Israel, the honorable Moshe Katzav at
his residence,
or a chance to sleep a little late. Lavish
Israeli Breakfast in the hotel, after breakfast we will
explore the
site, which is the very foundation of Jerusalem,
the City of David.
In the City of David
we will see the Gihon spring, the escape tunnel of King Hezikiah and
meet with
some of the residents of this important area. We will then tour and
offer our
support to some of the young people fighting for the reclaimed
neighborhoods in
and around Jerusalem,
locations such as Maale Zeitim, Shimon Hatzadik and Abu Dis. Dinner and overnight in the

Thursday March 17
– Jerusalem
Lavish Israeli Breakfast in the hotel
After breakfast we will be able to ascend to the Temple Mount,
we will meet a representative of the Jerusalem Reclamation Project who
will
take us to the Moslem Quarter and show us some of the homes that are
being
bought for Jewish families. We will also tour the new Center with its director,
Israel(Winkie)
Medad. We continue with a tour of Yad Vashem. We will drop you off at
the Ben
Yehudah Outdoor Mall for shopping, dinner on
your own, and for a special treat, we will give you a voucher
for a
photographic portrait in biblical costume. Overnight

Gush
Etzion, Hevron, Gush Katif

After breakfast and check out, our first stop of the day is Kever
Rachel, on to
Hevron, a city infused with the awesome sanctity of the
Ma’arat Ha’machpala. In Tel Rumeida we will see the
archaeological
remains of King David’s palace, the graves of Ruth and Yishai, and
meet
with some of the 80 brave Jewish families of Hevron. We continue south
through
the Hevron Hills to Sussyia where we will explore the caves of an
ancient
village from the time of the Talmud. Continuing west towards the
Mediterranean we stop at the Jewish Communities
of Gaza,
Gush Katif for dinner and overnight
at the
Midreshet HaDarom Hostel
Monday March 21
–

Breakfast in the hostel
After breakfast we will visit with the people in the threatened
communities, we
will visit the communities, hot houses, educational institutions and
industry.
Weather permitting there will be time for swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and
overnight at the
Midreshet HaDarom
Tuesday March 22
–
Gush Katif, Shomron
Breakfast in the hostel
After an early breakfast we leave Gush Katif and travel on the new toll
road #6
to the first modern community in the Shomron, Kedumim. We will meet with
the
mayor Danielle Weiss and tour the community. We continue north to the
northern
Shomron communities of Kadim, Mevo Dotan, Sanur, and Homesh, visiting
with the
residents and hearing their stories and reactions to the impending
evacuation
of their communities. Security permitting we continue to Har Gerizim,
from
Gerizim we will have an overview of Schem and Kever Yosef. Our final
stop of
the day is Itamar where we will meet an incredible man, Avri who has
single-handedly been expanding the Yishuv. Dinner

Wednesday March
23 –
Shomron
Lavish Israeli Breakfast in the hotel
Our tour continues today in the region promised to the tribes of Ephraim
and
Benjamin. Our first stop is the partially excavated city of Ai, which was the second city Joshua
conquered. We continue to Beth El where we will visit the settlement and
the
studio of Arutz 7. Our next stop is Shiloh to explore the Tel, here the mishkan stood for
369 years
during the time of Eli and Shmuel the prophet, and meet with some of the
Jewish
residents of the modern settlement. In the area of Shilo we will be able
to
help reforest the hills of Ephraim by planting olive trees. You are invited to
Kfar Tapuach
where we will see the professional dog training program, hear from Mike
Guzofsky, Lenny Goldberg and David HaIvri and enjoy a Bar–B-Que dinner with some of the
residents of
Kfar Tapuach. For those heading back to the States we proceed to Ben
Gurion
Airport for our flight to the States

Thursday March
24–
Shomron, Galil
Lavish Israeli Breakfast in the hotel
After an early breakfast we travel through the Galil to Tzfat, one of the four holy cities in Israel. We will visit ancient synagogues, the Ari’s Mikvah and the artists quarter. North to the Golan Heights in the
Golan we will
visit Katzrin, the Golan Winery, Mount Bental, the mountain overlooking
Syria
and an army base on the northern border with Lebanon, where we can meet
with
some of the young men and woman guarding Israel’s borders.
We’ll
stop for dinner at the Pagoda
Restaurant
overlooking the Kineret,overnight at the Kinar Classic Hotel on the Kineret
Friday March 25
– Jordan River Valley Jerusalem
Lavish Israeli Breakfast in the hotel
After a leisurely breakfast we travel through the Jordan RiverValley
passing the biblical Gilgal and the crossing point of B'nei Yisroel. We
will
stop at Kfar Adumim for a visit to the Techilet factory where we can
understand
the meaning and uses of Techilet. Back to Jerusalem
for Shabbat. Shabbat dinner and
overnight in
The Olive Tree Hotel in Jerusalem
