About Us

My name is António Lima and I live in the surroundings of Vila Nova de Famalicão, near Guimarães, in the north of Portugal with my wife Cristina and my Cocker Spaniels and two Boxers.

I have owned and trained Cocker Spaniels since 1994 and have been  breeding and selecting them under de Affix - By Frantic's Valley - since 1996. Before that, I owned, bred and trained Dobermans since 1982.

My first Cocker Spaniel was acquired  in 1994 - Fly Away de Milheirós da Maia - a Black & White bitch and some years later a Blue Roan boy - Vianset Uncivilised Boy. From the very beginning I had a strong interest in dog shows attending them regularly. 

In order to improve the Show quality of my dogs I bought in 1997 a Black Bitch - Darrowby Ebony Eyes who became my solids foundation bitch. 

At the moment I have 6 adult Cockers and from recent litters I have kept three promising puppy bitches - 2 blacks and 1 orange roan. 

Being an amateur breeder my purpose is to breed for Type and Temperament aiming at quality according to the Standard of the Breed laid down by the Kennel Club (U.K.) and the F.C.I.

I am also professionally involved in the Training of  dogs for Defense and Obedience.
