Butterflies will seek out your garden when you have this vigorous perennial, shrub-like plant. You can also observe the life cycle of the monarch by adding this plant to your garden. Beginning in late spring, it produces a profusion of Fiery, red-orange flowers followed by decorative green seed pods. Drought tolerant, good cut flower.

Hummingbirds
Hummingbirds are drawn to red, pink, and orange salvia, lilies, trumpet vine, and monarda (bee balm). Although trumpet-shaped flowers are famous for attracting hummingbirds, I have found the diminutive blossoms of coral bells receive more hummer attention than any flower in the garden except columbines.
