the kaskarial
first of all before you do a kaskarial you want to learn a shuvit. when you do a kaskarial you do a shuvit one way and you do a 180 body varial (a 180 with your body) the other way and then you land. you dont want to push down the tail too hard or it will overspin, so just pop it enough to get it off the ground. then you want to get the shuvit in at the same time as the body varial, so you pop the tail and push the shuvit and at the same time you 180 body varial in the other direction. the trick is when you jump, you have to jump the way that you are going to body varial and just use your legs to push the shuvit. so got it, pop it, turn your body, push the shuvit, and land. don't be worried if you are comfused cause its easier than it sounds, just go on outside and try it. i got it my second try so it can't be very hard.
the shuvit
before you learn to shuvit you want to learn how to ollie. if you already know how to ollie then you can read on. a shuvit is when you jump and push the board around, 180 degrees. when you shuvit you mostly use your front leg to push it around and just use your back leg to pop the board up in the air. a shuvit can also be called a varial but i like to call it a shuvit. when you shuvit you dont want to use to much power or it will over rotate but not as bad as kaskarial. so when you shuvit you first pop and jump, then you push the board around, and last but not least you land. its not really easy at first, but once you get it down you can almost always land it.
kickflip
The first step to doing a kickflip is being able to ollie. When you know how to ollie your all set. When you do a kickflip you spin the board all the way around the width ways so you see the bottom of your board. Well anyway to set up you put your foot on the edge of the board so that when you ollie you can kick it up and out so that it spins all the way around and you can land on the griptape as you started. The thing(s) are you cant kick it out too much or else it will spin really fast and you'll land on the bottom of the board, you cant kick up too much or else the board will wrap up in your feet, you have to kick it and move your feet out of the way so that it can spin under you. This trick took me a few days of hard practicing to land it in the grass so dont give up if you cant do it your not a natural at it (nobodys a natural at skateboarding), just keep practicing and dont be worried about messing up your shins cause the pain only lasts a second. Just go for it with confidence cause the most you can do is land primo and have it kick out a few feet.
