Sango from Inu Yasha:
This costume I wore at Anime Central 2004. It was very fun, because of the feel of the "traditional" kimono. It wasn't a real one, but it sure felt like it. Here are pictures of me in my costume. More to come soon hopefully.

Costume: Civilian Sango
Show/Game: Inu Yasha
Made for: Acen 2004
Difficulty: .....It wasn't very difficult, because I only bought the fabric and someone else made the outfit. The only difficulty i had was wearing the costume. As kimonos tend to be constricting, I could not run, I had to pull up my apron to do so. When putting it on, we tied it with a real kimono sash to keep it nice and tight.... Another issue was the wig. The darned thing would not stay on! Arg! And it wouldn't stay back either. The arm bands also dug into my hands, where they were held by my middle finger. The loop eventually started digging into my skin. =/ The funnest part was wearing the dark pink eyeliner. I never wear eyeliner that looks weird....but this time i had reason! Yay!
Money Spent: This costume was fairly cheap. The fabric I bought onsale at Jo Anne Fabrics for under 20 dollars, along with the pattern for a kimono. The shoes I bought at a local Wal-greens for 3 dollars. I had already owned the leggings and my friend gave me the gloves. The only setback was the wig which I purchased downtown at Chicago wigs for 50 dollars. I also bought eye liner for makeup and that was around 5 dollars. The price for the labor of making the kimono and apron was 35 dollars. So in all the costume cost me around 100 dollars all together. And the Kirara was a gift =)
Construction: Like i stated, I didn't make the outfit, but I wish the dye was darker. I did however, dye the gloves, and that was all. Aint I a cheap one?
