My family has hosted tons of exchange students from Japan, and even one from Thailand. One of the girls who was here for the 3 week program came back for more school. She was in Denver and then she came up to Aims and their Intensive English Institute. Her parents wanted her to come back home for a vist. So I got to go with her. It was amazing.
The summer before we had crazy girls stay with us, they were so much fun. I think our family got the reputation over there for being the family that everyone wanted to stay with. But I got to meet up with them while I was over there. I got to go to their University. It was so gorgeous. And I heard someone playing the flute - that was astonishing. It was very pretty. I got to meet their teachers. They were so happy to meet me and so happy that we participated in the hosting program. I would like to go back there again.

The first picture is of me and the group of girls who had come the summer before - Mao, Ohh La La, Me, Aya, and Sayaka. Sayaka was the girl who stayed with us, and those are her friends. Mao stayed with us for a week because her host family had to run away. We had at least two slumber parties with those girls, they were such fun!
The other picture was taken in Umeda's train station. Or maybe it was Kyoto.. I can't remember exactly. I saw these two characters. They stood out a lot. No one besides them looked different, they were the only odd looking people I saw there at all. I made Yuki (the girl I went with) chase them with me so that I could take their picture. I didn't necessiarly want to be in the picture, so much as have one of them. I look like a dork. But oh well, I am an American - it's expected. :D
