Did anyone ever wonder why Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo and her public relations staff keep on referring to her decision not to run for presidency in 2004 as an act of sacrifice?

Think of this: to do a sacrifice means to forfeit or to give up some personal benefits. Is this a sad reflection of our current attitude towards public service?

Think again: to become president of the Philippines is the Real sacrifice. It is a duty to perform in a way that does not seek personal gain but helps the nation and society. It means losing one's private time and giving that time to public service. It means spending and exhausting one's energy in the hope of energizing the nation.

In today's political scene, there is one man who is qualified and destined to fulfill that Real sacrifice. He came from humble beginnings and rose to become the Chief of the Philippine National Police and currently, Senator of the Philippines. He has a big heart for the poor because he knew how it was to be poor. But he showed the world and himself how to rise above all odds and succeed while maintaining his honesty and integrity. He is well known as a crime fighter. He can also be called a "grime fighter" - exposing and denouncing all the filth and dirt of corruption in government.

One man's sacrifice will be our nation's gain. We, the Filipino people have suffered and waited long enough. We deserve a better president this time.

Our man is Panfilo "PING" Lacson.

PING stands for:

Maintaining Peace and order
Ensuring In public service
Protecting the National interest
Following God's will at all times.

We will support PING LACSON for President in 2004. There is simply no better choice.
