The CZW World Tag Team Titles History

The cZw World Tag titles were created December 9th 2007. the first World Tag Team Champions were the Alaskan Warriors, Glacier & Ice Breaker. They won the titles on Jan. 17th, beating the Chainsaw Boys and Timmons/Swinger.

The titles became the first titles to change hands on February 21, When the Alaskan Warriors fell to the World Title holder and #1 Contender at that time - The Zodiac Thrilla and Matt Stylez AKA The Natural Born Thrillaz.

After Zodiac's injury, Matt was eventually stripped of the tag titles and the Dragon Society won them in the first ever Tag Team Tandem, in their home town of Tokyo.

At Road To Glory, The Union defeated the Society and The Twin Towers to become the fourth Tag Team champions. After retaining the belts against Timmons & Nasty at No Remorse, The Union vacated the belts as they departed the company on good terms.

In Toronto, Timmons' home town, a controversial elimination three way dance took place for the vacant titles. Impaler's neck was broken, and Jesse left the match with Michael King replacing him. With Jesse's help, Timmons pinned Fiscus for the vacant belts.

On Assault in San Jose, celebrating the fourth of July and America's independence, the team of Big Nasty and Derek Damage won the titles. They held the titles until August 8th, when Derek officially announcing his retirement. He initially gave his Tag belt to Alanso, making Nasty & Alanso World Tag champs, but that was very short lived when Jesse came out and threw the decision out and stripped the tag belts. In Beaumont, and in their debut match, the team of Idolized won the titles in a four way dance.

In a unification match, Matt Covey defeated Fire & Ice, who had just defeated Idolized a week earlier. Covey picked the Global Tag belts over the World belts, as he set them afire and they burned into a crisp.
