Chase Stein was an average high school student who was good at sports and even better at slacking off, much to the chagrin of his genius-level inventor parents. Chase and his friends ran away from home when they found out that their parents were part of a murderous super villain group known as The Pride. While investigating his parent’s workshop, Chase came across many of his parent’s inventions, including a pair of X-Ray Goggles and a set of weaponized Fistigons. A while later, Chase’s girlfriend, Gertrude Yorkes, died in his arms… twice, bestowing upon him her Empathic Link with Old Lace, a genetically engineered dinosaur from the 87th century. They fight crime!
