Name: Javier Paul Dubois (Ja-vee-Eh, Puhll, Doo-bwa)

Age: ~22

Birthdate: May 10th, 1979

Birthplace: Plessisville, Quebec

Astro sign: Taurus

Height: 5'5"

Weight: ~165

Ethnic Origin: French Canadian all the way.

Physical Appearance: Javier is the most different out of the whole band, because he is the shortest, and also appears to be the pudgiest...but kind of in a...teddy bear sort of way. Javier's skin tone is a slightly dark almond color, but he has some rosiness throughout...mostly in his cheeks when its cold or if he's been laughing too much. Javier's face is short and rounded off for the most part, and his chin sort of melds into his jaw so it's not very defined. His nose is kind of like how he is built, short and pudgy. His eyes are a rather unusual colour, and in some lights *almost* look like a dark yellow, but they are a very pale brown or an amber colour. He has defined eyebrows, but they are by no means bushy, they're just apparent because he uses them to express emotions every chance he gets. His hair is deep, shiny chocolate brown, and it naturally parts down the middle. He tries to keep it off his face, but a few strands seem to like swaying over his forehead. Its not long, but it's not really short either. He likes to keep it about three inches long (except he keeps it off his neck). Unlike the rest of the guys in the band, Javier will wear jeans, but most of all Khakis. That's what he has the most of anyway. And until summer hits, Javier will nearly always be sporting a knit sweater. During the summer he'll pull out short-sleeved button ups, either plane coloured or totally crazy Hawaiian patterned.

Family:

Childhood: Javier's early childhood was full of love as he grew up in the town of Plessisville. His parents took their only child skating and sledding, and even snowmobiling during the winter months, and during the summer they'd take their son to fairs, lakes, parks, and the like. Javier especially loved his dad because he was always teaching Javier new things, especially ways to make people laugh. Sometimes his mother would have to intervene if the joke was too much, but Javier and his dad would secretly laugh. But when Javier turned six, his world flew upside down. His father had been out ice fishing with some friends for the weekend, and he came back with an awful cold. The cold turned to pneumonia, but it was realized too late, and he died. From that point on neither Javier or his mother were the same. His mother couldn't handle her youthful husband's sudden death. She took Javier to his grandparents' house and said she'd be had to go to town for a little bit. That was the last Javier ever saw her. Needless to say Javier's grandparents figured out she wouldn't return so they took it upon themselves to raise Javier. For the rest of his childhood and his teens Javier lived on his grandparents farm on the outskirts of Plessisville. In school Javier was the loud, funny, and well liked kid of the class. He had many friends, mostly because of his quick tongue, and off the wall humour. Javier learned early on that it felt good to be funny. In high school Javier joined Band since he knew he had a rhythmic ability ever since his father's brother had bought him a snare drum years before. During high school he even had some experience in garage bands when a few of his friends started creating them. After high school Javier bid adieu to his farm-town friends and he moved to Montreal to go to school. There, Javier was the new fish again and at first he had trouble getting along. A lot of the school's population spoke English and Javier was forced to speak what he had learned from his grandparents and in school. Javier wanted to speak English better so he might leave Quebec one day. (He despised the separatists, and realized Quebec wasn't going to change for quite some time.) So he took higher English classes were he met Aimee, and she decided they could help each other learn English better. They became quite close to each other, and Javier confided in her and told her about his past, and for the first time since he was a child he cried about it. Aimee stood by his side the whole time. They finished college together (he, a bachelors in Theatre Arts, her, a bachelors in English.) and decided to leave Quebec and pursue a new life in another province.

How this shaped his personality...: At a young age Javier learned from his father that humour was his great gift to the world. When his dad died and his mother left Javier also used humour to cover up the fact he was hurting down deep. After a while however Javier forgot about the hole inside of him for the most part. Instead he focused on his talents, and being a good grandson. Later on Javier had a slight coming to terms with what happened and he realizes now that there is a part of him missing, but it wasn't something to dwell on. In his new life in Toronto no one knows much about his past, everyone just knows him as "that funny kid from Quebec." Which isn't all bad to Javier, however he sometimes becomes saddened when the guys in the band complain about their parents.

Basic Personality: Overall Javier is a pretty content guy. He's got a loving and *very* understanding girlfriend who doesn't mind that he goes wild every once in a while because she knows how he really feels. He likes his place with the Ameliorites and he's glad that he's made new friends so quickly in such a new place. Javier doesn't want to slap his past across their face, because he doesn't want to have to talk about it to everyone, but he plans on letting them know if the correct time shows its self. Javier loves to laugh, and he loves to make other people laugh because it reminds him of how his father used to crack everyone up.

Smarts: Language smart. Quick. Pays attention to nuances/ idiosyncracies. Pop smart.

Sexuality: Hetero. Loves his girlfriend, but also loves to "flirt" just to gauge reactions.

Job:

Band Role: Percussionist. Back up vocalist.

Instruments: Huge ass drumkit. Complete with rototoms, cowbell, and those little tiny cymbals you don't see everywhere. Sometimes brings along carparts to bang on.

Band Manerisms: Always making faces whether he knows it or not. Always smiling from ear to ear, and he'll often leave his drumkit and find other things to bang on if the song will allow it.

Religion: Raised catholic. Now just celebrates holidays. (But he won't eat meat on friday...)

Goals: Conquer all the dialects of north america, and europe. Break into the comedic world, and stick with the band at the same time. When income become sturdy, marry Aimee.

Strengths: Funny. Sensitive (kinda hidden) Good listener. Can tell stories well. Gets along with all sorts of people. Deals with past pretty well. Knows how to cheer people up, or at least get them to forget their worries for a bit. Good advice.

Weaknesses: Can over-do comedic act sometimes. Occasionally invades privacy in acts. Slightly annoying. Doesn't let many people see who he really is

Fears: Getting sick. Deep water. Spiders.

His relationship with his close friends. (Number of *'s indicate how well they get along/like that person from a total of ten)

Garrett: ******* Likes him because he thinks he has his head on straight for the most part, and thinks he's pretty cool. Likes talking to him. Loves making fun of him and watching his nuances. Enjoys the challenge of making him laugh. Sometimes annoyed by Garrett's dislike of his own parents.

Gavin: ***** Loves making fun of him. Thinks Gavin's too smart for his own good, and tries to get him to come out of his smart shell. Likes it when Gavin does come out brings his own brand of humour with him. Sometimes thinks he's too quiet.

Colin: ****** Loves to tease the hell out of the poor guy. Likes Colin because he's grateful for the family he has, and he doesn't bitch about much of anything at all. Is happy for the guy in the fact he has his head on straight and thinks he is a very rare individual. Still loves to tease him though...specially by calling him "mama's boy."

Adam: ******** Likes Adam because they have a mutual war going on to see who can diss each other and everyone else other the worst. Likes cracking jokes, doing pranks, and "flirting" with girls with him. Can get annoyed by Adam because he thinks of himself way too much, and he doesn't deal with his own past that well, be Javier understands he means well.

Aimee: ********** (best friend/ girl friend) Loves Aimee to tears. Would do anything for her because he knows she would do anything for him. Loves the fact that he can still be a comedian and do what goes along with that title and but she knows the Javier deep down. Feels as though he's found his soul-mate with her.
