It contains the Avengers Assembly Room with its famous round table, a computer system with a back-up memory bank, two generators and a back-up system of storage batteries, a workshop and water cistern. The Assembly Room has walls, doors, floor and ceiling made of Mn material. To enter the Assembly Room, one must pass through two doors, one of Am material and another made of Mn material.
-Sub-Basement Two: This level has extensive storage facilities for equipment and supplies. A vacuum pump system is installed to prevent flooding in case of catastrophe. There is a shuttle system that leads to the Avengers' Submersible Quinjet.
History:
Built in 1932 to serve as the family home of Howard Stark, this three-story manor, located at 890 5th Avenue in Manhattan, came to be the headquarters of the Avengers when Tony Stark donated it for their use. The Mansion is kept in operation by funds from the Maria Stark Foundation, but the only staff member to remain consistently active at the Mansion is Edwin Jarvis.
The Mansion contains living quarters for active members of the Avengers, briefing rooms, storage facilities, gymnasiums, communications equipment, laboratories and a launching pad for the Quinjets. There is also a tunnel out to the ocean located in the sub-basements of the Mansion and various underwater vehicles are kept there.
Early on, Thor and Iron Man moved the Mansion 35 feet from the street, increasing the size of the front yard. After the Mansion's destruction by the Masters of Evil, the Avengers moved to Hydrobase, which was renamed Avengers Island, and came to house a new Mansion there. After Hydrobase was sunk, they built a new headquarters on the site of the Mansion. Eventually, Ute the Watcher replaced this headquarters with a near-exact duplicate of the original Mansion.
After the Avengers were disassembled, Iron Man announced that he no longer able to finance the Avengers anymore. The funds that the Avengers had didn't have enough to repair the Mansion. With that, Stark had taken the liberty of handling the paperwork to make Avengers' Mansion a landmark. He also sealed the tunnels and cleaned out all the sensitive materials and technology. The Mansion is left in its damaged state. However, the Young Avengers have been known to meet here.
Globe Net: The Globe Net is a large holograph of the globe. It allows the Avengers to view clear and present dangers around the planet with villains, showing their current status and last known location.
