Character
Thought to have been killed in an industrial accident,
Maychek was trapped underground, doused with radioactive waste,
and transformed into a corpse-like being with the ability to animate
and control dirt into any form he wishes. He uses his powers in
an attempt to reclaim his daughter from his former friend and business
partner, who he believed planned the accident in an attempt to get
him out of the way.
Crazed and revenge-hungry, he isn't one to be reasoned
with and will stop at nothing to see his twisted justice carried
out. After all, he has nothing left to lose.
Parallels
and Thoughts
Maychek is one of the more interesting villains, tragically
human in the same sense as Mr. Freeze.
His horrific condition was a simple accident, nothing more. Yet
he still wants some form of justice where there is room for none.
Though his powers are a bit farfetched, the story behind him makes
him a believable character. His appearance is probably the most
graphic display on the series so far.
