Although only recently becoming friends with Buffy and the gang, Cordelia brings female comic relief to relieve situations. Going from popular to average soon after she began to date Xander, Cordelia shows her (almost) humane side. Not really seeing the full threat of vampires, Cordelia is the girl everyone loves to hate. Having survived graduation she relocated to LA to help Angel fight the forces of Darkness. It was here that she really found her calling, as a fighter for the helpless. With her new powers of seeing the future, given to her by Doyle, Cordy has gone from the girl who didn't care to the girl who became half demon so she could keep her powers. It was however at the end of last season that Cordy's true calling was reveled, and she moved onto a higher plane, one in which bored her rigid. She returned back to Earth with no memory of who she was and with no clue what she was carrying inside her. Jasmin, the child she bore was really a demon she brought back with her from her time on the higher plane. When Lorn carried out a memory retrival spell so Cordy could remember who she was, he awoke Jasmin who in turn made Cordy's body do what she wished, which included sleeping with Connor, being master to the beast, stealing Angel's soul and killing Lillah. When Jasmin was born Cordy feel into a deep coma which she will never awaken from. She is now in the hands of Wolfram and Hart.

Carpenter had no plans to pursue acting, but while working as a waitress to save for her education she was discovered by a commercial agent and her career began. She appeared in more than 20 commercials, including one for Secret antiperspirant which ran for two years. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, and lived there until she was 15. She later moved to Mexico and San Diego and took classes at the school of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating high school she travelled through Europe, and upon return moved to San Diego where she had various jobs to support herself thorugh college. Offscreen Carpenter enjoys Rollerblading, Hiking, Sky Diving, Rock Climbing, Running, Horseback Riding, Travelling and Cooking. She currently lives in LA with her husband, son and Golden Retviver.
