A brilliant physicist who vanished from an LA library in 1996 through a porthole into the land of Pylea (home of Lorn). Humans were treated as slaves and she was sent to shovel up demon poop. It was when Cordelia landed into the world the 'Fred' finally realised Earth wasn't a dream, and was transported back with Cordelia, Angel, Wesley, The Host and Gunn in tow. She started working with the gang, and before you could say 'willow replacement' she was researching, and starting a relationship with Gunn. This relationship however was torn apart when Fred went to kill the professor that sent her to Pylea. Unable to watch the woman he loves go to the dark side he ended up comitting the murder, forcing them apart. There have been sparks with Wesley but nothing serious. She is now the head of Wolfram and Harts science devision, but can she stop everything coming out of there being evil?

Born and raised in Dallas, this Texas native studied ballet, modern and jazz dancing for 13 years before heading to Southern Methodist University to study fine arts. While in college, Acker discovered a love for acting and enrolled in theater classes, ultimately graduating with a B.F.A. Soon, she landed a pilot for MTV and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream. After the pilot fell through, she carried on trying and soon landed the part of 'Fred' in Angel. When she's not working Acker enjoys travelling, reading, skiing, horseback riding, golf and yoga. She currently resides in LA.
