With a rather dissapointing second season I came into the third season of Angel not expecting much, and I sadly wasn't wrong. The season started off really well, with Angel returning from his summer of mourning, ready to start kicking butt again, but then Darla turns up, making him a father, changing his outlook on life for the first time in 200 years. However the loss of Connor and him turning up again as a teenager (played very poorly by Vincent Kartheiser) didn't really work. However this season also had a few highlights, strong performances by Julie Benz (Darla), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) and David Boreanaz (Angel) gave new depth and meaning to the characters. Wes turning bad also was a season highlight. But what now for Angel? Season Four is really a make or break and I for one hope it can get back to the way it was in season one.
