Season Seven Review

After Seven Season's, two giant baddies and five attempts to end the world Buffy has finally slayed her last vampire, and what a way to go out, by going directly into the Hellmouth, yes my friends Season Seven of Buffy kicked ass! This season Buffy went back to high school, opened and closed the mouth of hell and sucked the entire town of Sunnydale down with it. The First came back, bigger and badder than ever, trying to kill off the Slayer line so it's evil can take over the world, what it didn't expect was for Buffy to be ready to go to war. Ubervamps, Brigners and Caleb we're nothing, Buffy had become a warrior with an army of Slayers behind her, her friends and Willow who turned all that evil from last season to good and became a Godess. Strong performances this year all around, Gellar, Masters and Hannigan giving some of their best performances in the final episode but the star of the season with the most heart breaking, funny and touching scenes was Brendon. Sometimes forgotten as the Scooby who just gets the snacks, Brendon was the heart of the show this year and gave his best ever performance as the lovable Xander Harris. Now the dust has settled what are they going to do now? My guess is pop over to Angel, after all her always needs the help. On a more personal note, Joss Whedon, Marti Noxon, all the writers/directors/actors etc who have made every episode of Buffy touching, funny and butt-kicking, thank you so much, Buffy is an icon and a role model, but above all she is just a girl, just one of us.
