Buffy Season Two Review

If Season One of Buffy was enough to get me hooked then Season Two probably would put me into the realm of the obsessive (ok maybe not but thats how good it was). Everything you thought you knew about Buffy was changed. Xander and Cordelia became a couple, Willow found a soul mate in the shape of Oz and Angel, Buffy's one and only true love became her most evil enemy. All round fantastic acting for the newly expanded cast (Season Two introduced us to Oz, Spike and Dru), and an edge of your seat season finale made this season really pack a punch. We were let in that another Slayer had been activated after Buffy's short death in Season One, but we were also let in on how Angel could lose his soul, and that Jenny Calender, harmless computer teacher, was in on the whole thing. Season Two saw the Slayer put to her toughest test, killing somebody you love, but also showed her signs of weakness when she left town, unable to cope with her what had happened to her. Although Angel became the seasons biggest evil, Spike and Drusilla made a fantastic evil Jack and Jill to pack and punch at the beginning of the season. You can see that more money have been put into the show, but it is very much deserved, another amazing effort from Mr. Whedon, who again has captured the essence of the teenage world.
