Joseph Marquis
Other Names: Joe
Appearance
Joe is 6'3" tall with a slim build. His eyes are dark blue, and his hair is white (he's not that old, it's just his natural hair color). He has a tendency to forget to trim his hair, with the result that it often hangs long. Joe usually wears normal jeans, a t-shirt, and beat-up boots. He also often wears his flight suit, a blue, gray, and black bodysuit with extra padding on the shoulders, sides, and the sides of the legs. The flight suit has metallic rings around the neck and wrists; these seal to his gloves and helmet for operation in zero atmosphere. The helmet contains a 2-hour air supply. Whatever he wears, he always has a blaster pistol in a black holster on his right thigh, and a digivice on his right wrist.
Past
There is a rumor that Joe is related to the Lightning Baron, Zechs Marquis, one of the greatest mobile suit pilots ever known; he neither confirms nor denies it. Regardless of his family history, Joe grew up around ships and mobile weapons, and as a result is an extremely skilled pilot; a technician at heart, however, he prefers simply tinkering. His technical skills have allowed him to take ownership of Kuat Drive Yards, one of the galaxy's largest shipyards; KDY has brought him great wealth, but he doesn't care for the money, as the work lets him embrace his favorite pasttime. It was during this time that he found the schematics for the original God Gundam and retooled them, creating his Dark God Gundam. Joe dislikes violence, but would rather suffer himself than watch others suffer, and is thus always ready to put his life on the line to protect others.
Personality
Joe is smart-mouthed, sarcastic, and has a well-developed sense of humor. He is also a realist; if he believes that a situation is impossible, he'll say it outright. Always the "cool" one, refuses to be rattled or intimidated, no matter the circumstances. Selfless and determined, Joe will never give up on a cause he believes in. Joe is also an incurable tech-head; however, he tends to rely a bit too much on the power of technology.
Powers
Joe is among the greatest technicians in the galaxy: if he can't fix a machine, it can't be fixed. He specializes in mobile weapons and robotics. He is also a skilled mobile weapon pilot, and can hold his own against most opponents. His Dark God Gundam is particularly potent.
Joe is a Newtype, a rare type of human with psionic abilities. His specific gifts are a complete resistance to mental assault of any kind, and the ability to interact with a psycommu (psychic communication) system, which allows for easier handling of mobile weapons. Further training could develop his abilities further, but he chooses not to.
Other than that, Joe is in good physical shape for a human of his size and age, and is a skilled marksman with his blaster.
Weapons
Joe carries a blaster pistol on his right thigh. The pistol has variable power settings; higher settings cause more damage, but drain more power. A device in the blaster's grip vibrates when the energy pack is drained. He also carries extra energy packs in pouches on his belt.
While not technically a weapon, Joe has a Digimon partner named Warmon. Warmon is a Rookie-level Digimon, and is capable of digivolving into several stronger forms: Destroyermon (Champion-level), Metal Destroyermon (Ultimate-level), Houryumon (Armored-level, between Champion and Ultimate in terms of power), Technodramon (Mega-level), Chrona Technodramon (Armored Mega-level), and Ultimamon (Omega-level). Warmon is also capable of metabolizing 100% of all food that he eats, and thus leaves no waste. His ability to digivolve depends upon the amount of energy he can draw upon, either from food or from Joe's digivice.
Finally, Joe has the Dark God Gundam, as well as the vast resources of Kuat Drive Yards. For more information on the Dark God Gundam, Click Here.
Quotes
"I'm a mechanic, not a fighter."
"This sucks this sucks this sucks this sucks this sucks (et cetera)..."
"Never get between a Digimon and a refridgerator. Trust me."
Kaze
Appearance
Kaze is a young man of the age of 18. He has piercing green eyes and very pale blond hair, which hangs to slightly below his shoulders. Kaze has a very light build and strong muscles. His main distinguishing feature is his large, birdlike wings, which extend from his back slightly above his shoulder blades. The feathers of his wings are dark gray, fading to white, giving an overall pearlescent look. His total wingspan is roughly 20'. Kaze's clothes are mostly in shades of blue; he prefers darker shades. He wears padded leather gauntlets, which cover his forearms and the backs of his hands. Each gauntlet has a sheathed dagger on the outer forearm, with the grip of the dagger towards the hand. He also wears a long, thin sheath on his right shin, which contains his flute. On his left middle finger is an emerald-colored band, which sometimes seems to glow with an internal light of its own; the ring never leaves his finger, no matter the situation.
Past
Kaze was born and raised in Windia, and is a member of the Wind tribe. In times long past, the Wind tribe was one of the most respected of all races, known for their kindness and sense of justice; however, misunderstandings and accidents led to their withdrawal from the world at large. Today, they are largely unknown and often forgotten, although tales of the winged people are still sometimes told. The location of Windia itself is a carefully-kept secret. People of the Wind tribe almost never interact with other races; to them, exile is a punishment far worse than execution.
Kaze's mother was killed before his eyes when he was still a young boy; to this day, he still blames himself. He has never known his father. Kaze showed an afinity for elemental magic at a young age, as well as great skill with thrown weapons and a natural talent for music. He has always been fascinated with ancient legends and myths. Kaze was a member of the Windian Royal Guard for several years; however, he was exiled from Windia for reasons unrevealed. Kaze now wanders the world, in search of a place to call home.
Personality
Kaze is quiet and a bit shy; he doesn't often make the first attempt to open a conversation and tends to keep to himself. He is polite, personable, and kind-hearted, quick to make friends once the ice has been broken. Although usually quick with a smile, Kaze becomes withdrawn and sorrowful when asked about the past, and does not often discuss it. He is especially unwilling to discuss his family, and will never talk about the reasons of his exile. Kaze will never initiate battle and will never take a life, regardless of what may have been done to him, as he considers killing to be the course of the "unimaginative" and values life over all else. Kaze's greatest joy is in his music, and when nothing is happening, he can often be heard playing his flute.
Powers and Abilities
Kaze is a member of the Wind tribe. His entire anatomy is adapted towards flight. His bones are hollow like a bird's; he has little to no body fat; his body metabolizes nearly 80% more of his food than a normal person's. He also possesses much greater proportionate muscle strength and has excellent endurance; he has been known to fly for days at a time without rest. His eyes have extra-thick corneas for protection against strong winds. He possesses excellent visual accuity and can spot a human-sized form from nearly four miles away, as well as more effective night vision than a normal person. In addition, his respiratory system has special membranes which allow him to filter atmosphere more efficiently than a normal human, for gathering oxygen in thinner air at high altitudes.
Kaze is trained in hand-to-hand combat. He is best at quick movement. He also has great skill with thrown weapons; his daggers are his prefered projectiles.
Kaze's true power lies in magic. He is skilled with elemental attack magic, and his mastery of the wind is unparalleled; he can perform any feat of winds, from blowing out a spark to generating a hurricane, with little more than a thought. Kaze is also strong with healing magic, and has minor defensive magic as well.
While of little use in battle, Kaze is among the best floutists (flute players) to have ever lived, and can play a wide variety of songs of many types.
Weapons and Items
Kaze's only weapons are a pair of daggers sheathed on his forearms. The daggers are thin and light, with long, flat blades. Each dagger has a small red jewel imbedded in the end of the grip; the jewels are enchanted with a return spell, so that if the daggers are thrown or lost, Kaze can call them back to his hands with a thought.
Kaze is rarely without his flute, which is composed of a silver metal. The flute is nearly weightless, but is nearly unbreakable, although he would never even consider using it in battle.
Kaze also has his ring, a band of emerald-colored stone which never leaves his left middle finger. It sometimes glows with a light of its own; however, the cause of the glow is uncertain. The ring cannot be removed from his hand as long as he still lives. It seems to hold some hidden power, but to date, Kaze has never consciously tapped into it.
Quotes
"Learn from the past, live in the present, hope for the future."
"I do not wish to fight with you, but if I must, I will."
Kenbukyuu
Other Names: Ken, "That blasted Saiyajin"
Appearance
Ken stands about 6'....to the actual top of his head. His hair is another few inches above his head, making his total height closer 6'6". He is in excellent physical condition. Ken wears a dark grey bodysuit, with white shoulderless Saiyajin armor, white boots, and white gloves. Unlike most Saiyajin, Ken still has his tail, which is about two feet long and covered in dark brownish hair; it is commonly wrapped around his waist.
Past
Ken is one of the few full-blooded Saiyajin (or Saiyans) still alive. When the evil Frieza destroyed the Saiyajin homeworld, Planet Vejita, Ken had been offworld; he returned just as Frieza's ship had left the system. Since then, Ken has fought to protect other planets. He claims that he fights for the sake of fighting, but his real reason is survivor's guilt: he doesn't understand why he was sparred when nearly his entire race was wiped out. Outwardly calm and collected, Ken harbors an immense, suppressed fury, which he rarely lets out. He doesn't boast about his power and despises those who do, as he sees it as wasteful and pointless.
Personality
Ken is usually calm, but has a short temper and is easily irritated. He has little to no discernable sense of humor, although he is known for his rare deadpan humor. While still not exactly a big talker, Ken is more willing to hold a conversation than he used to be. Ken is a warrior at heart; in battle, he gives no mercy and expects none in return. He has no qualms about killing when necessary, but prefers to simply render his opponent unconscious. Ken is fully willing to throw down his life to protect others (and has done so before).
Powers
Like all Saiyajin warriors, Ken can manipulate his ki energy and use it at will. He can use his internal energy to levitate himself and maneuver in the air. He is also extremely strong, and can punch through a foot-thick block of steel with a single finger without powering up. At full strength, he can shatter mountains with a single blow. He is excessively fast; his top speed has yet to be measured, but he has broken the sound barrier on multiple occassions. He can also survive without oxygen for a limited amount of time. His powers increase after every battle; the fiercer the combat, the greater the increase. As a result, he is among the most physically powerful of the Enforcers.
Ken is capable of using the Multiform technique to split into four clones of himself. Each clone retains his full power, skills, and abilities. However, he rarely uses this ability in battle, mainly reserving it for training purposes.
Ken also possesses the ability to transform into an Oozaru, a gigantic apelike beast. This ability is triggered by brute waves, a phenomenon known to be caused by the light of a full moon; Ken can also create a "power ball" which can generate artificial brute waves. In the Oozaru state, Ken's powers are vastly multiplied, save for his speed, which drops drastically. His reaction time is slowed a bit as well. He does not use this form often, as the size is often a hindrance.
Finally, as one would expect, Ken can transform into a Super Saiyajin. His natural anger makes the transformation possible; normally, a Saiyajin with a tail cannot go SSJ. Ken has been shown to be able to go up to Super Saiyajin Level 4, but rarely goes past level 2. He can also combine the states of Super Saiyajin and Oozaru, becoming a Golden Oozaru of nearly uncontrollable power; this drains his energy rapidly, and thus is not often used.
Ken possesses one final, devastating technique. It is refered to as his Chou Hisatsu Waza ("Great Desperation Move"), and for good reason. With this technique, Ken gathers immense amounts of power, more than his body can contain. He then unleashes this power in a massive explosion, capable of destroying nearly any foe. However, this technique has one terrible drawback; it's a suicide attack. Ken's body cannot handle the vast amounts of power unleashed in the explosion and is completely vaporized. Thus far, this technique has only been used once. Ken is reluctant to use it again, for obvious reasons.
Weapons
Ken needs no weapons other than his own powers. However, he possesses a katana given to him by GuyvrGirl, and has taken to training with it more and more recently. He occassionally uses a scouter, a small device worn over the right ear and eye, which can detect and measure an opponent's power level, and also can be used for communication.
Quotes
"Oh, shut up."
"You have no idea what my nightmares are like."
Curse of the Spawn
Other Names: Spawn, Hellspawn
Appearance
Curse of the Spawn stands about 6'8", with a fairly muscular build. He is always clad in his necro-armor. The necro-armor's appearance is in constant (if usually slow) mutation, but generally appears as a black bodysuit. It also features spikes and various bonelike ridges across the shoulders, forearms, knees, chest, and waist. His head is covered by a mask, which is also a part of the necro-armor. The face area of the mask is a skull-like visage with glowing green eyes. He also has broad wings of a 20-foot span, composed of a dark, bonelike material; the wings can be folded over his shoulders as a cloak. While he rarely has reason to remove any part of the armor, underneath it, his flesh is horribly charred.
Past
Unknown. Spawn refuses to speak of his origins. There is slight doubt that he is even a Hellspawn; supposedly only one may exist on Earth at a time, yet he has been seen with others at various points in history. He first appeared in this world around 1993, but is obviously much older than that. The strong, silent type, Spawn has assisted in saving the Earth many times. His motives for doing so are uncertain at best.
Personality
Spawn is usually cold and detached, and rarely speaks more than necessary. He is fully confident in his power, but does not abuse it; prefers close-range combat to long-distance energy attacks and such. Very knowlegeable about a great many things; impossible to surprise. Always has a backup plan; prefers to have it and not need it than need it and be without. Spawn often keeps to himself as a matter of principle.
Powers
Spawn commands the necroforce, and can use it in any way he sees fit. The necroforce is literally the energy of death. It is the source of both his power and his life; without it, he would cease to exist (he would not technically die, because he's already dead). Spawn can use this energy for many feats, including power blasts of great strength, teleportation, regeneration, force shields, physical enhancement, minor shapeshifting, and many other abilities. As long as there is life, there is death: thus, Spawn's power is limitless.
The necro-armor also has many abilities. It can produce spikes, chains, blades, and other weapons almost instantly. It is immune to extreme temperatures, bullet-proof, and can resist most physical attacks. In addition, its wings give the power of flight. The wings themselves can launch volleys of small, pin-like projectiles with deadly accuracy, and also have serrated edges for direct attacks. The armor is alive (in the same way that Spawn himself is), and is directly linked to Spawn's mind, responding instantly to his every command.
Spawn possesses a great many other powers. The true range of his abilities has yet to be revealed, but seems to be limited only by his will and imagination.
As a result of being unliving, Spawn feels little pain, and has no need for food, rest, or air. He is also extremely patient and holds no fear.
Finally, Spawn is immortal, and possesses nearly unmatched skill and insurpassable knowledge.
Character Weapons
None. Spawn needs no weapons, aside from his necro-armor. However, he possesses a strange pouch, which seems to have a subspace portal within. It has limitless storage capabilities, to the point where not
even Spawn always knows what's inside. He also possesses vast amounts of ancient scrolls, texts, and artifacts; where he stores them is unknown.
Character Quotes
"Get over it. Put away your harp and your good book. You're back in the war and it's about to get ugly again."
"You cannot kill that which is already dead."
