AHDRI & WINDKIN
|
Ahdri is the handmaiden of Savah. She is a direct descendant of Savah and Yurek's and is a rockshaper. She has lived for over 10,000 years and did not develop her rockshaping abilities until the Little Palace was left with the Sun Village by Ekuar. While sitting next to it and working on a piece of gold she shaped the gold into the exact form she wanted to her surprise. She later learned that she is the great-great-granddaughter of Yurek, a rockshaper. Ahdri then began shaping the mountains around Sorrow's End in an effort to protect the village from humans. In the end though, the humans dug their way through with the help of a troll and breached the village. Ahdri ensured that her people survived and that the humans never escaped by shaping the mountains further. She is believed to be either mortally wounded or dead, the former to be preserved in wrapstuff together with the Little Palace, ensuring her survival and the continuation of her abilities in protecting what remains of the village. After "The Searcher and The Sword" was released, it was made known that Ahdri has spent a very long time in wrapstuff. The trolls stole her coccoon from the remains of Sorrow's End and used her to find precious gems in the ground. When Treestump and Clearbrook discovered the trolls underground, they also discovered Ahdri's coccoon and released her. Ahdri and Windkin had a special relationship, although they never had children or Recognized. Windkin appears to be tormented by her apparent death. |
Windkin is the son of Dewshine and the shapechanged glider, Tyldak, through Recognition. Dewshine Recognized him while the Wolfriders were at Blue Mountain. Windkin has the abilities of the Gliders. Although he was born half Wolfrider, half Glider, his Wolfrider blood was stolen from him by Winnowill who hoped to make a pure Glider of him to replace Aroree as one of the Chosen Eight. Windkin was raised by Dewshine and her lovemate Scouter. Windkin met his real father for the first time in the Battle for the Little Palace when Tyldak fought on the Go-Backs side. Windkin met Door in the Forevergreen and was held captive there for some time, both by chains and by his own desire to stay there to help Door, another Glider. Windkin had a relationship with Ahdri and since her apparent death has become a loner, choosing instead to travel the planet searching for other elves, but always returning to Sorrow's End.
