 Strongbow is the son of Trueflight and an unidentified male (at least at press time) and the Recognized lifemate of Moonshade. He is the quietest elf of all the Wolfriders, preferring to send rather than speak. However, when he does speak it's for good reason.Moonshade is the presumed daughter of Brightwater and an unknown male. She is the tribe's tanner and provides the whole tribe with wonderful creations to wear. Together they are the parents of three cubs - Crescent, Dart and more recently a little girl cub (who was born during the Searcher and the Sword). Crescent, their first cub, only reached adolescence. She was killed by humans while she was fishing for dinner for herself and her parents. Dart, their second cub, was born at the original Father Tree shortly after Madcoil was killed and traveled to Sorrow's End when he was about four turns old. He decided to stay at Sorrow's End when the Wolfriders left to find Cutter, much to Strongbow's dismay. Strongbow told his son to never forget who he was - A Wolfrider. Moonshade looks up to her lifemate in all matters, often siding with him - even when he may be wrong and is completely devoted to him.
