One of the members of the Mystic Sextet with less active participation in the DCU, the only thing that is known, is that the wizard Shazam met him while he was traveling in the Greece of the Mythic Age. It is plausible that while befriending him, he agreed with the hero to have a part of his power for the future champion that the wizard was planning since then.
Of course, Achilless died in a young age. It isn't clear if Shazam gathered his courage and invulnerability in a distant future from the River Styx, or directly by the participation of the spirit of Achilless in a council of gods and heroes.
Achilless made a rare appearance during the War of the Gods, fighting in the process Starman (Will Payton), believing that him was King Menelaus, and Phantom Lady the beautiful Helen of Troy. In the middle of the fight, his spirit was summoned and dissappeared mysteriously, only to be re-channeled to recreate the spell that makes the existence of Captain Marvel possible.
