Metropolis City Zone

Name: The Metropolis City Zone

Bios: A bustling, overcrowded and high-tech city that takes up a sizeable portion of the landscape. Before Robotnik’s dictatorship, the city had been a focal point for difficulty but afterwards, Robotnik built his Citadel in the heart of the Metropolis Zone and it became his veritable headquarters. All the citizens of the Zone not turned into Badniks were his personal slaves and Robotnik’s Badnik Processing Plants and weapons factories could be found here. The Metropolis Zone is also a focal point for many of Robotnik’s traps and surprises for Sonic (such as the infamous Hero Of The Year award and the ridiculous Mister Blobnik), this often worked on some level or another seeing as Sonic and the gang are in the Zone quite frequently trying to ruin Robotnik’s rule there. After a long time of living in shadows, in abject fear and with little hope, the citizens were inspired by the Freedom Fighters to stand up for themselves and defy Robotnik, leading up to the Electromagnetic Pulse which defeated him. After Robotnik’s Citadel was destroyed, the citizens of Metropolis City officially kicked Robotnik out and tried to get back to their normal lives. Never an easy task in the big city.
