A History sketch of the creation of a Comic
Try not to let the juvenile artwork with pointy boobs and awkward body structure scare you. These are some of the 1st FUTURE PEACE drawings, then called PEACE Keepers.
1994: In trying to design a uniform for my 'Peacekeepers' I was heavily influenced by MM Power Rangers, as seen in the long gloves, spandex and white turtlenecks. About a year and a half later I designed the PEACE uniform, which is the same as the present one except that a coordinating gemstone is in the place of the globe emblem. Polo, Emilio (Equinox), Anoki, Ezel & Crystal wear these same colors now.
Several other changes were made to the storyline. In 1995 I added a second group of 'Peacekeepers' Fire, Union,Tempest, Utopia, Rhythm,& Epic to the mix. The 1st FUTURE Uniform designs had them wearing Nations Alliance of Earth (NAE) jungle uniforms with NAE logo black shirts.These uniforms were scraped as well as the constant sunglasses wearing to protect their eyes from sunlight. All their colors and looks are the same, except that Rhythm originally wore pink (now light blue)and had long hair. I soon realized the embalance I created. Quickly I created Four Anti-Peacekeepers Aeon, Sirin, Chasm and Rapt and changed the enemy country from Japan to the Australian Confederation.
I then renamed the comic F.U.T.U.R.E. P.E.A.C.E. after the names of the heroes. Later I dropped the breaks, it just became too hard to type!!
In a short matter of time Emilio was renamed Equinox to make his name less common and stereo-typical and Tempest was renamed Tempo because another comic charater already existed with that name.
Originally Sirin, a seductress and Chasm, a dream altering psychopath played the biggest enemy roles in FUTURE PEACE, while Rapt and Aeon were minor characters.
But then over the time of writing stories I became more interested in expanding all the characters, especially Aeon. I never initially thought of turning Aeon 'good' or having him (as Blake) take such a vital part in the plot.
I found myself trying to write complex and sympathetic characters.
In the process I have filled a small blue file box with 5x7 notecards with the basic facts on all the characters and many facts that I write into the future world and history of the Nations Alliance of Earth.
