KMF Heroes
Okay, the first hero is Phase. If there was an epic tragedy of my heroes, this is it. Daniel Covant, a nuclear scientist, tripped on a Coke can and fell into a vat of chemicals. One of his friends and fellow scientists, Pete Lockwood, jumped in and saved him. While Covant gained the abilities of flight, superstrength, speed,infared, x-ray, and laservision, and the ability to "phase" through things, Lockwood quickly began to discorporate into black mist. He used maglev plates to hold the mist he now was together. He took a name, Parthos- the evil mist! He lost his memory, and soon plotted revenge against Phase. Covant began his superhero career, and married Lyra Sanders soon after. Living with Covant gave Lyra his powers, but they would give out unexpectedly, so she retired after this started happening. Phase was soon a father, but weeks after his son was born,he was transported into another dimension. Overcome by grief and rage, he was attacked by Parthos,but he subsequently killed him. However, he had exhausted his powers past the breaking point, and died in his wife's arms. However, his body disappeared from his funeral, and Lyra was even more saddened. She was all alone. However, she learned that if she bathed in the chemicals that gave her husband his powers once a week, she would gain them, too. She teamed up with Flameshock, the fire elemental, to go into the core of the earth, where Flameshock felt a disturbance. In the core, they found Lyra's son and Daniel's body. Parthos was absorbing the remenants of power from his lifeless body, and transferring it to Lyra's infant son. Parthos was intending for him to be his agent of evil! Flameshock distracted Parthos long enough for Lyra to get the baby, but their fight caused enough chaos to stir the Elemantal, a giant of titanic propotions which had laid dormant in the core of the earth since the 1800's. Flameshock and Mrs. Phase escaped, along with their son. The Elemental apparently destroyed Parthos, but a man of pure energy can never truly be dissapated. It is only a matter of time until he rises again. Lyra Covant has since taken the name Phase, in honor of her deceased husband. Her son, who is virtually nameless, was aged to 15 by Parthos. He has powers like his father, silver hair, black eyes, and has energy projection powers, unlike his father. He has taken the name Phaser, and is a member of the Freedom Force USA.More heroes to come soon!
