Mardi Gras in New Orleans
Mood: party time! Today is Saturday and I went with Lacey, Kiki, and Kiki's mom all the way down to New Orleans for an early celebration of Mardi Gras. The day begun walking long distances trying to find our way to Cafe Du Monde, which by the way I had to call and ask my mom where it's located. It was too far from where we were starting out, so we walked around. The main attraction of the day was the parade. While waiting, a clown came up to me and said, "Marry me and I'll be your slave." I pointed at Kiki and said, "Marry her, she's prettier." He replied back, "I'd marry the both of yas." It was supposed to start at 11:00 or 12:00. Well, we were there at 11:00 and it started at 1:00. So, after standing for two hours, we were all psyched that it had FINALLY begun. It was basically in an order of float, high school band/dancers, float, high school band/dancers, float, high school band/dancers...and so forth with a few ROTC people marching in the mix. We wanted to collect ALOT of beads, so about an hour or so before it begun, Kiki and Lacey went into a hat store and wrote "We're from London" on Kiki's mom's tote bag. It got a little false attention, but I suppose it was worth it. We did manage to fill it up more than half way (and it was a BIG BAG). Once it was over, we went into a little food place and ate sandwiches then went to Cafe Du Monde. On the way to Cafe Du Monde, Lacey and Kiki bought Mardi Gras masks and wore them the rest of the time there. I think Cafe Du Monde is the only place that is crowded 24/7 that only serves french doughnuts (beignets) and coffee, and it's the only place that which you are satisfied with even if just being there for less than 10 minutes. Traveling back to the car, we saw a robot-man who was really good. He posed for a picture that Kiki's mom took. It's going to come out awesome! Random glitter fell through the streets and Kiki and Lacey pranced around in it. (It was a total picture moment, but it ended quicker than I was able to actually take the camera out of my pocket.) Kiki spotted a Vampire Shop and everything was over priced, but cool. The guy who was working there called me shorty and cute. And we also saw a man play an electric guitar with his hands while playing bass guitar with his feet. How he multitasked like that, I'll never get. Then we hopped in the car and zoomed out.

Updated: Wednesday, 21 September 2005 11:40 AM Post Comment | Permalink | Share This Post Friday, 28 January 2005 I just wanted to say that today was interesting. For one main reason. Well, okay, not one reason. Just a picture I saw a couple minutes ago that reminded me of this. I went to my 2nd hour (ART III) and all of a sudden, Wes was skate boarding across the tables. And some guy who resembles my baby cousin (maternal side) was filming it. Of course, the teacher (Ms. Joffrion) was not around. But when she got back in the classroom and shut the door, the boys showed her what they just filmed along whith whatever else was on the tape. She just laughed. Okay, if you don't know the song "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5, then click here to listen to it.

I'm At School
Well, it's official, I am not in Physics anymore. Hopefully, it won't hurt me in the long run! I really don't need it back firing on me! I'm in study hall now. It's strange though. It's my first study hall ever, and I know what a study hall is like since I've spent time with friends last year in one, but it's still strange for me. I'm so used to having classes where I do things and staying busy, but now there's a period where I'm going to be bored unless I can find someone to talk to or something to keep me busy. And I don't even know if that goal will be able to be accomplished. Well, today, I was supposed to bring my little cartoon characters. I had them with me, but I guess when I went to take my med. this morning I set them down then walked away from them. It would be better for me to surprise them with it tomorrow anyway, that way I can give everyone theirs. I still need to make one for Sammy. I shouldn't leave him out. Anyway, for those of you who are reading this, click here to see what I'm talking about. I have no clue when the bell is supposed to ring. It could ring at any moment now.....any moment....well, let's see how far I can push this entry. I guess I could put a picture on here since I'm that bored. Random Picture: Okay, I'm actually doing this picture in art class, but her head looks funny on mine. I'm trying as best as I honestly can to get it right, but it still just doesn't look like her. But I customized mine. I put a black border around it, looked up a good quote by her that kind of matches the picture and I put that on the bottom, and then I went to a special website to make her name and it came out great. But my art project is failing miserably. I didn't want to do it on a big board, so I ran out of room to put the quote (no it's little on the board) and I originally put her name on the right of her, but I had to move it to her left for my project. Hopefully, I'll be able to save it and make it look awesome! I think it's time for another picture... This is my sign, the Taurus. I just randomly found this one day at school on this very computer and liked it. Wow, that's a lot of prepositional phrases all in a row. Okay, no, it's just two...it sounded like more. Okay, I'm bored again. I guess I'll surf the web now. Okay, got a topic in mind to search for, ciao!

Tuesday Before New Year's
Mood: cheeky Let's see...me, Kiki, and Jonathan were all hanging out at the caboose when a cop showed up. He ID-ed all three of us and told us to leave. Then I get home and my mom wants me to help her move furniture around so we can paint the ceiling. We were moving a bookcase-like-thing but it was too heavy. I told mom we need to take all the stuff out, she said "No." So, in the middle of attempting that, the top of the case broke! So we ended up taking everything out. Then I looked at her and said, "What about the top?" She said, "No, leave it." So, we attempted again and everything on top slipped off and broke into millions of little pieces. So, I looked at her once again and said, "Mom, please just listen to me!" Next time, I think she will.
