Considering where he is now, Kaiba has gone a long way since being a kid. He had a very bad past. When he was five, his mother died giving birth to Mokuba. At the age of 10 his father died in a car accident. He and his little brother were sent to an orphanage. One year later, Seto showed his genius by beating his uncle, Gozaburo Kaiba, in a game of chess. Gozaburo adopted him and his brother and raised them. Unfortunately, he didn't do a very good job. He treated Seto badly, and after five more years, Seto pushed him out the window, and took control of KaibaCorp, the company his uncle owned.
