HISTORY
Shortly after making an appearance on national television, in which he stated he believed in flying saucers, author Lawson witnesses one land near his home. Investigating, he discovers a group of living shadows. After being captured by them, the leader, Kaa, explains that they are invaders from a planet on the other side of the sun. They have invented a way to turn themselves into creatures resembling shadows, and see it as their way of taking over the earth...posing as the ordinary shadows of human beings.
Lawson escapes and proves the existence of the aliens (by merely turning on the lights...the shadows were still there). Most are captured, but Kaa escapes, vowing to return.
