The Mole Man next summoned the creature to help him and two members of the Fantastic Four (The Thing and Human Torch) battle the forces of Alden Maas.

Giganto was one of a number of creatures taken control of by a group of Skrulls hoping to flush out a traitor. They used the monsters to attack various Earth cities. While this Giganto attacked New York City, a second (his mate) not under Skrull control, "fetched" the Skrull ship for the Mole Man and brought it underground. There, a Skrull robot called the Technotroid "hatched" and imprinted on Giganto's mate. The two monsters then took the robot as their own child.

The creature was one of several monsters present on the Mole Man's Monster Island when the Justice League converged there seeking one of twelve lost items of power. Along with the other creatures, he was beaten by the dimension-hopping team. (JLA/Avengers #1)
