When a band of alien marauders led by the creature Luther Gorr take over the earth, they show they can disintegrate all sorts of things, including buildings and bridges. However, one man deduces that their weapons only affect metal, and when he fights back, humanity learns the aliens' weakness and fight until they retreat to the stars.
