A professor decides to use the legendary Frankenstein castle for his scientific experiments, but just as he's using a growth ray on an amoeba, angry villagers (afraid of superstition) storm the castle to stop his work. They attack him and, as he cannot get to the ray to turn it off, it causes the amoeba to grow to gigantic size. The quick-thinking professor then doused himself in sugar and lured the rampaging blob to the edge of the village, where it fell into a pool of quicksand and was never seen again.
