Holmes: Jack is a fine gentleman. It is not his fault that he has a few
hidden sides that he can't quite keep hidden from me. It is not my place to
judge. I only observe. Oh, and I'm to be his best man. I think I am rather
honored.
Seishi: Jack, bless him, is a Real Gentleman, in every sense of the
phrase, and one of the very few truly honorable people I’ve met outside of
seisuru. He has an unfortunate talent for trouble, but he’s remarkably good
at getting back out of what he’s gotten himself into, and his occasional
flashes of intuition are remarkable.
Kate: How did I come to fall in love with Jack? It was as if I was
going along, minding my own business... when all of a sudden, someone
whacked me on the head with a ballpeen hammer, and when I came to, all I
could see was Jacky...
Whisper: Disoriented Englishman. I find this a likeable quality--any
man that can blush from comments of mine is a rare thing. As are men quite
so willing to put themselves in the face of danger for friends. Kate's a
lucky woman.
Constantine: He could be worse. Most Victorian aristos were. But he
still gets right up my nose sometimes. He ought to meet Baron Winter
someday. That's one thing to be said for Jack, now that I think about it -
he doesn't live in the past. Not much, anyway. Usually.
Kitty: What can I say? He deserved the gold lightsaber. Jack's one of
those people you wish the world would settle down and be straightforward
for.
Pete Wisdom: Well, he's -- uh, got brilliant taste in Scotch. Manages to
fail to look ridiculous with a lightsaber. Obviously has his head on
straight where Kate's involved. But he's not fooling anyone with that biker
getup.
Buffy: I don't know him very well at all, except to know he seems
like a fine, gentlemanly man. Giles would be proud to know I've met at least
one.
Lara: God Save The Queen! Jack reminds me of many of the men in
English aristocracy, yet lacks the more irritating qualities of most. A
fellow aficionado of exotic locales and dangerous adventures, he's the other
person beside Seishi I'd trust at my back. That is, if he'd just stop
fainting like a nancy boy...
Indiana: Behind the whole Stiff Upper Lip act that I'd expect from a
British officer, there's a man with a forward thinking attitude and an
appreciation for other cultures. I imagine if I'd been born a few years
earlier, I'd have more in common with him. He reminds me of T.E. Lawrence in
a whole Hell of a lot of ways.
Simon: I've seen little of him and I know less. We've met a few more
times than he's aware of. He likes art, he's English, and is always with
Kate. I do hope I'm invited to the wedding. A bit old fashioned though.
