A spy and saboteur with the crippling 'idealist' flaw, Pete is quite a capable bastard - but hides it rather well most of the time. He has absolutely no truck with nonsense, his definition of which varies from spandex to personal dishonesty to endless angst and brooding; his motivation for the frequently life-threatening and/or foolish yet necessary actions he undertakes can be summarized in one sentence, which he repeats fairly often when argued with: "It needs doing." Oh, and don't get between him and his cigarettes.
